Flowering plant

Hello,
This thread is in regards to to my girl in flowering. It is in the ''newbie central'' category so please forgive me if i seem ignorant in some aspects. My plant has been flowering for 37 days now and i'm a bit worried that the buds will never plump out. The main stem is pretty thick but the rest are super skinny and the nodes where the buds are, are not interlocking with each other making a bunch of small colas. a few pics are at the bottom. I 'm watering every 3-5 days with 2 liters of water, this is when the soil seems to be drying out. Nutrients are general hydroponics koolbloom 0-10-10 and liquid seaweed ph is around 5.9-6.1. The last picture is of the grow box, the lights are inside plastic containers with reflective insulation at the top and see through plastic at the bottom so the light gets through but the heat doesn't. In total it is about 350 watts of 3000k cfl's. I'm not sure if that's ideal but it seems to keep the grow box cool. Without it temps can hit around 90 degrees. I'm growing in 50/50 perlite and pete moss. Also one more question is the plant doesn't smell at all like marijuana it smells more like chemicals so i dialed back the nutes a bit. If more info is needed lemme know, Thanks!

Healthy looking plant with some nicely formed flowers. Mostly sativa? If so, and with the lighting, buds will not fatten up to form a cola as one would hope. How many days till published flowering window? I won't knock the choice to contain heat/protect the leaves housing your cfl's in plastic, but they should be all around the plant and kept carefully close (2-3") for better results. If not maybe something where more light can hit those lower buds. Depending on days left, your best bet would be to focus on bud density and potency. Closer CFL for both. A lot of COB LED users supplementing with uvb from a reptile light for potency. If I were sitting where you're at, I'd even consider spending a few bucks if it would help. Nice work on the plant she's healthy, CFL's though..

Thanks for the reply,
I don't really have much to spend i built this box on my own with most of the materials from the dollar store... This grow was mainly to get me into understanding how the plant works how it grows etc... These Cfls were 3$ each fore 23W (not equivalent) But if you think they should be placed all around the plant for better results that is what i will try to do. And to answer your other question she is a 50/50 they call her white voodoo haha, anyways thanks again!

I'm sure you enjoyed the experience, it's pretty amazing seeing them evolve. when's your target harvest date? I'd say yes on manipulating lights, plenty of pics if googling "cfl grow." Maybe someone else can chime in. no worries on the funds, when I finally said I was gonna grow my own, I just ordered seeds with plans to run to home depot for some dirt. to my surprise came the rest (after googling how to grow weed)

take away the plastic but control the heat

your plants need the far reds and intense blues and the plastic will block that

but looking nice for cfl buds dude good job so far

Pretty nice man, keep in mind CFL's don't have the power to beef up the buds a ton like HID lights do. I did two grows with CFL's and they were around same sized cola's as yours.

Good call lowering nutes, i do see they got burnt. I rarely if ever smell my plant since your nose just gets used to it.

Keep up the good work, happy growing!

Do you know what i can use to hang the bulbs around the room?
It's hard to tell what kind of fixtures you have. If they're all single with a push on/off and cord, they can hang from cord, large binder clips to secure cords to something running across the top? if that won't work some detail on the fixtures
