2 airstone lift a lot of water but the water you put in is almost saturated already. No ions at a room temp and clear sky pressure, is already saturated. Now, can it be over saturated? Yes. But, as I understand it, the total switch over in the wastewater treatment from air or ladders, spray, etc to flooring is that it is the best way to keep water saturated with O2.

Pump it to the surface hard enough to mound it up but not reduce the surface area by bubbles. Mass transfer needs a broad interface to be effective. This is why flooming has taken over from air bubbles in Aquariums, also.

So, it doesn't matter so much in blooming microbes but I have noticed when the stench gets away from me it seems to be in a gray scum in the foam.

So, the thing is, to experiment. It takes 48 hr to get a good bloom up, but you have the right idea. Flooming for me, makes my wife more happy with the smell.

thats fucking awesome man! good to hear... my stuff should be here soon.. im using the EXACT recipe.. with airstone buried inside the clump of ewc in the pantyhose.. i really hope this works... i really need this.. i really really need this to work for me. if it doesn't i dont know what i will do...

Oh it works. Careful on the molasses. I do the same thing with a cotton sock....I will switch to hose, thank you.

Get yours root well inoculated, and I saw results within 3 days. White roots begin to grow, but remember you are set back in the feeding schedule and unless you are willing to wait the months and months they will always be stunted according to how bad it got.

But, with this, I don't have to rip it up and start again. That is something. And it teaches us the care we need to rot no roots.

Shexy if you are using aero or dwc, I would strongly advise you to never put the tea, organics, any sort of carbs or beneficials into the main reservoir.. Specially when dealing with small plants that are showing rot. H202 or chlorine will also harm these young plants nor will it cure rot.

When you brew the EWC you are brewing organic matter and i follow the instruction perfectly and it slimes up everything bad, with out the organic's added in teabag form the slime is not existent. IMHO the only way to fight rot in dwc or aero etc is to during early stages of root development take a bowl and mix in great white or which ever form of benies and add root excel or rapid start, and maybe some b1, then drench the roots in it and pour through the medium to inoculate for about 30 mins, this can also work with h202 but prob needs to be done ev day not once a week, and keep the plants out of strong direct lighting.

i have heard alot of dirrering things here... so there is one person who doesn't like the tea.. and hundreds of people who love the tea and swear by it.. i am ANAL when it comes to following instructions.. i will not let organic matter get into my res.. i will strain all little particles out with coffee filters... also.. earlier in the forum.. heisenburg said he dumped even the ewc whole into the res with the tea after it was done.. he said he didn't need to strain anymore..

i still have my sick plants in the dwc and will test it out on them.. if it works even mediocre.. i will know that the tea will work more than anything else that ive tried..

and gifted one i am using Rdwc... very different in my opinion.. and it is bottom fed.. not top.. so there is water being pushed into a hole in the bottom of the buckets and it drains outa hole up on the top rim into a 4in pvc... the pvc is at a slight angle and the water flows down it into the res creating a waterfall effect.. trust me... it will be a haven for bennies.. i already know..

Do me a favor and tell me your results, if you smell rot after adding the bennies anywhere in the room you'll know its getting worse. Ive ran into some good info as well, and people that have severe slime or rot the tea just makes things worse, but i suppose it could be from my specific EWC bag since i didnt get ancient forest..

It is my understanding that organics, carbs, and beneficials should not be added to reservoir specially when dealing with young plants with rot. And for the people like me whom the tea, h202, bleach etc didnt work the only thing that works is a secondary inoculation bowl of benies and rapid start used outside of the main res. either way let me know ur results

Well... i hope it does.. i plan on cleaning the roots thoroughly before i put bennies in.. then i will inoculate root zone and then dose the res.. in this order.. i believe that slime that already exists will maybe turn brown like other people said and then slowly go away.. just because the slime looks worse doesn't mean it IS worse.. and also alot of people have had trouble with slime after adding too much ZHO powder i have heard.. BUT if it doesn't work.. then i still believe that it will work as a preventative.. we shall see.

and it's also good to know that there is a backup plan if mine doesn't work.. secondary bowl and rapid start.. will give it a try if it doesn't work

okay guys! I have an update for the forum and for Heisenberg. A week and a half ago I posted looking for help with my root rot. I was given a solution. I ordered the products. I made the tea with the EXACT formulation that Heisenberg said to do..... AND NOW! ... with much conviction and restraint... I give to you the results a week and a half later.... IT FUCKING WORKED!!!! FUCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!! YES!!!!!!!! FUCK YEAH!! FUCKIN A!!!! BOOOOOOMMMM HEADSHOT!!!!!!!!!

alright... now that that is out of my system... I want to thank everyone who helped me... shout out to Heisenberg and Doer... also Gifted one I want to shout out to you that you must have made the tea wrong OR added too much ZHO powder because DAMN!!! this shit works... I have fluffy white roots and I will be posting pics soon so everyone can see my system AND the new root growth... a week's worth man.. a FUCKING WEEK...

and also I want to talk to the new members to this forum.. (I am new as well) I want to address the infectious and tantalizing lies that most hydro guides will tell you... they say to use a sterile grow.. I SAY FUCK THAT !!! I say the MORE BENNIES ... THE BETTER!!!! you can take away from this forum whatever you want.. you can ask heisenberg.. "Heisenberg! I have a question.. im so excited about this tea so I actually made a compost out of my poop and mashed it into the lava rocks before putting them into my res.." WTF ARE YOU DOING PEOPLE!?!?!? just follow the fucking guide and all of your hopes and dreams and your grows WILL come alive!!! i swear to God above! Please just make the tea how he said it.. I had the ABSOLUTE worst cynobacteria and root rot from that.. and it is fixed.. fixed forever! i just know it.. i have never had white roots in my new dwc for more than 4 days without them turning into POOP for brown slime algae.. please ask any questions about my tea and my meathods of making it.. i will gladly pass on this new found nugget of knowledge and help the poor poor souls who are still having these problems...

In the system, you are just adding an acid. I use Nitric Acid, for the Nitrogen. But, just brew the tea with RO water at about 7 pH.

Hey all sup.. it been a minute and this is kinda off topic but im out of ideas and quickly loseing a battle and need some input fast so any help will be apprechiated at this point.
Anyhow can anyone tell me of a safe systemic pesticide i can put in my res?
Im quickly loseing a battke to white fies and i need to get something in the plants to kill off the larvae..
I have the fliers pretty much in check i need something for the eggs and larvae?

Good job man, but in my case I guess id have to chalk it up to my earthworm casting that i had in place of ancient forest.. I was fighting very bad rot and the tea made me trash them, so id recommend ancient forest as a must i suppose. I must note i used proper ZHO amounts and aquashield plenty of air stones unsulfered molasses 1 tsp gal. and WIGGLE WORM EARTHWORM castings which i assume was the prob. After 30-48 hrs with 3 separate runs the stone came out covered in slime.

However ive since got new clones in dwc (junked my aero) and i have 6 buckets with all super white roots, and oddly even with the micro gh which generally stains the roots they are as white as can be and massive. The difference that helped me was purchasing Gold Zone by dutch master and well as figuring out how to not over water early on.. most people start new clones with a dwc water level within the netpot, this is for sure not the best way.. non the less its very possible to have super healthy roots like i have right now in dwc with a res temp of 77 without the need of any tea.

my stone came out covered in slime also! and i knew it was GOOD slime.. hehe.. so i totally put it INTO MY RES! weird right? the tea works.. i also filtered the tea through a coffee filter.. it is a pain in the ass but i just geta caulender and put a fucking filter in it.. and then tap the bottom of the caulender to make the water flow faster... but i am glad you are doing well with zone.. i tried everything including double the max dose of zone ... bleach.. pool shock.. chlorine.. fucking antibiotics for super strains of bacteria.. fucking everything.. the tea was my magic bullet.. and i will never be going without it ever again.. i hope you can remake your tea with ancient forest.. filter it.. and then use the tea to see it's magic wonders.. i will post some pics soon of how big my plants have gotten.. you will also see my legit "scroging" technique.. instead of using a net i just tie each top down individually.. it's pretty cool.... gonna need to put some cross bars in there soon for more tie down space bc they are getting MASSIVE BRO!! FUCKING MASSIVE! i have no fucking idea what im going to do with all of this plant growth! o_O ...... o_O

Azamax... it is the best! and it isn't toxic to humans... i found this shit randomly after receiving a sample from a grow shop.. it kills insects better than anything ive ever seen.. BAM... problem solved brother..
