Root rot issue

This is what I use:

Hey all! Plant is doing good, shared some photos. We are in the 3rd week of flower.
Now I am having issues with temp/humidity. I live next to the sea and the humidity is insane. I have a 500ml dehumidifier and an exhaust fan. But even with those my humidity goes above 65-70. I will do some defoliation on the weekend in hopes that it will drop humidity further.
Do you guys have any tips or tricks on how to tackle this? If I run the AC on dry mode, temps go down to 17 with lights on

When this thing happen, usually with Advanced Nutriens i simply wash the roots 2 times under the sink to wash the nutrients build-up.

Hi there. I am also fighting root rot. I used Hydroguard as directed and still got root rot, although I have read that it has worked great for some. I turned to peroxide and I am noticing an improvement and I think there's a pretty good chance I will win this battle. I used 29% peroxide at the rate of 5ml/L for new res change. Hope this helps.

If it doesn't, bleach has worked well for me.

Forgot to mention that I tried the pool shock. This is wanted to use; mainly because of the cost. I have free chlorine test strips that can measure from 0 to 10 ppm. The aim is to have your res between 3 and 5 ppm of chlorine. I put the chlorine in the mixing tank first until I had between 3 and 5 ppm. Then I added the Remo nutrients. After everything was mixed I checked for the chlorine ppm to see if anything had changed. To my surprise the test strip was showing 0 ppm of chlorine. There must have been some sort of chemical reaction that caused the chlorine to dissipate very quickly...about 30 minutes. I wonder how many people are having this happen and don't know it because they don't check. If you want a bit more info check my thread... Chlorine Friendly Nutes In Canada although there isn't a lot of info concerning chlorine and nutrients.

Hi
Hollatchaboy

Looks like you posted as I was typing lol. Have you checked the ppm of chlorine after the nutes were added. Could be that you are using nutes that don't have the affect on chlorine that Remo nutes do.
I added in the bleach last. Only like 1.5ml per gallon. It doesn't take much. I've had my res hit 73-74°f and haven't had a problem.

Have you checked the ppm of the bleach after you added it? Maybe the nutes you use don't have an affect on the bleach. Without having a degree in chemistry you just never know...
