Your definitly right man, 1k is too much for veg. I have the lamp set 40" above now and the kids seem to be happier. For my next grow I'm gonna veg with cfl's and flower with hps. How detrimental do you think this curling is? Will they recover? Here are some pixs I took a few minutes ago....I also upped the EC to 1.2 as per the Advanced Nutes feed chart on their website....
Bro in these new pixels they dont look so bad and most of them have enough foliage now to probably handle the 1K. I see they are wet..U dont need to do that either. Most people Mist to folair feed because they say plants absorb more nutrients thru the leaves. And they do i guess. It is not neccesary in hydro tho. Ur plants roots are already living and growing submerged in water.. Have u been misting them the whole time?
Usually heat damaged leaves will curl under..Urs have curled up.But like i said ive seen this by leaving a CFL too close to the fans on accident.
That and misting may have both played a part in the leaf situation.
Unfortunetely no damaged leaves will not heal themselves..
But yes the plants will recover just probably shocked them a bit with all that lamp.
Just be carefull with the lamp lol thats some serious Veg lamp.
Bro i ruined a whole entire sog with heat damage. It happens to us all.
Ur plants should be fine.:eyesmoke:

Hell yea man. Cant wait till mine start fattening up man. I hate this part. I get all stressed out haha. But bro ur bud looks awesome man. Good job..Also dont be afraid to check out the boards cause alot of peeps want to know how to grow without a PPM meter man. I forgot how to and i tend to make things a little too complicated i guess. U could really help some peeps out man.
Peace.

Yeah, although I still made a few mistakes.

I don't have any way to trap the light.

But other than that, I think this grow is going to be a big success.

So after I have it turned into smoke, I am going to sell off 2 or 3 ounces, and invest in a grow tent, an inline fan, cooltube, and charcoal filter. Then We will see what I can really do.

Does anyone here use a high output air pump ,like 45/l min,if so what kind of airstones do you use?Im using hose flex air wands, but it seems like im only geting good air from the first 7-8 inchs .Are they too restrictive for a big pump?

I am just using the molded blue 6inch long air stones. Nothing you can't find at a pet shop:)
Kewl, thanx for the info.I started with those, swapped em out for the high output pump with flex wands but I think they are too restrictive, like I said Im only getting good air from the first 8 inches out of 48,I guess as long as the air is getting in I should be ok.

I used to use airstones that were seated in plastic but they don't work nearly as well as the ones that are all stone and sort of pyramid shaped in cross section. I got 12 inch ones a Meijer for $3. I also use a 600gph pump and there is plenty to power more if I wanted.

Ok so im about to order my water pumps, 1 for my chiller and 1 to recirculate my nutrients...I was wondering if anyone had any experience with magdrive pumps or ecoplus submersible pumps...im not sure which one to go with, the grow shop says they are both comparable but the magdrive is 60$ for 250gph and the ecoplus is 21.99 for the 264 gph pump...I have a magdrive5 pump and it looks to be built better than the eco plus? looks can be deceiving though anyone have any input?

I use micro-pore air diffusers myself.
A little expensive but worth it.
I have a few questions for you... How long are your diffusers, how many do you use and how much air are you putting through them?...I'm trying to figure out the correct ratio for these things?? Also, do you get bubbles along the entire length?..one more, just to make sure were talking about the same thing...micro-pore diffusers are, basically, the same as bubble wands or "those flexible foam hose type air stone"

I am running all mag's and love them, I haven't tried the ecoplus pump's yet but I have heard they are comparable...
