600W lights are great. Just try to an A/C cooled hood with glass and you can damm near drop the light on the girls.

ya i think an ebb and flow tray would do more then 1 plant in a DWC. You could have a 4x4 flood tray with 9 plants in 3 gal smart pot under that 400 ( or 600 whenever the time & $ comes ) i dont know if youve already seen this but heres a good grow i think in a similar sized closet maybe a little bigger, they also have 3x3 trays i think for like 50-80 bucks if ya dont have room for the 4x4. Im currently using soil also and i keep seeing these guys with these trays full of little plants just kicken my yields ass lol.

STONED: lol forgot to post the link, its someguys15 perpetual grow

I hear ya man. It's not that I don't like the idea. I've been wanting to try an ebb n flow ever since I first started out. My problem is that my well water sucks because it's 950 PPM. I have to make my water with a distiller and I don't think I can keep up with all the water an ebb n flow setup will use. I wanted an RO filter to begin with but my pump will only push 35 psi and you need 45 psi to properly run one. So when I get my water situation figured out I'm definitely gonna go the ebb n flow route, but until then I gotta work with what I got.

Also whatever I grow indoors is just for personal use. I don't plan on selling any of it, although I give my pops some from time to time. I gotta keep my pops happy with some free smoke. Anyway it's way more than enough to last me until my next harvest.

Wow I feel like this is deja vu. Read posts 57 through 67 and you'll know what I mean.

Thanks for the link though and I'll be sure to check it out.

Peace.

lol my bad, i did skip a couple pages. I usually will go though almost every page but i did read like the first 5 or so then went to the last couple pages. Well hey atleast you got it all figured out. FYI cheapest place ive found for pumps is harbor freight, they are shitty but if you buy the replacement plan they will replace anything, like you can smash it and go get a new one lol. Great harvest by the way, Happy Holidays!

No problem man, I'm known to skip a few pages myself. I got a Harbor freight down the road so If I decide to get a new pump I'll be sure to check out their prices.

Thanks for stopping by.

Lots more to come.

Peace.

Nice harvest, very nice indeed. Are you going to put a smoke report together on your yield/quality/taste? Do you plan to cure any or all of it?
I grow more than enough for myself, I give some of my harvested bud to a couple of people that have Lymes disease as well. W/my current grow, even w/4 plants, I'm going have more than plenty again, what's nice my clones are now starting to come around, putting them into flowering in a week or so. I hope I am successful on re-vegging my mommas when the time comes in a few weeks...

Happy Holidays

Oh yeah I'll give you all the lowdown on a smoke report. I cut one at 10 weeks and the other 2 at 11 weeks. I could tell when I was trimming the last two, there was quite a bit more resin just by the way it was sticking to my scissors. And yes it will be slow cured in jars. When I was younger I use to smoke like a chimney. I could have went through what I just grew in two or three weeks easily. But as I'm getting older it's seems that I don't need or even want to smoke as much. I can roll a joint or load a bowl and it'll last me damn near all day. So if I'm mainly smoking by myself (which I am most of the time) most of that weed will cure for at the least 2 to 3 months. Also I can tell the taste, smell and buzz are improving on a daily basis. This morning I played a round of tiger woods and hit my bowl about 5 times and I was fricking ripped. I left about 11 O clock to go to my mom and dads. I got back about 6:30 and I was still feeling a buzz. So yeah I'm real pleased with the end results and I think the NL#5 would be a great choice for anyone looking for good solid stone. I'll report back later on the smell, taste and buzz after it's had more time to cure.

I'm kinda in the same situation, I am the only one consuming my bud except 2 other people that I have known that also have Lymes disease, so I gave them some after my 1st harvested. Most likely do the same after this upcoming harvest. If the state I live in totally legalize it, I would like to provide some of my harvest to dispensories

Great Job Dropastone! I have to dissagree with you on 1 thing... I believe you are closer to a Pro, than a Novice!

I have had the worst luck with soil and bugs. Seems every time I bring soil into my Garden, the bugs come with it. So I stick with hydro, with much less problems. l am glad to see you didnt have the same probs!

:hump: Good Luck! +rep

It's always good to hear from you my friend. I'm still learning one grow at a time. Thanks for all the kind words and stopping by the new thread.

so with the slow cure you still dump the buds out of the jars once a day for a little bit right? sealed jar right? sorry for the noob questions.

Yeah I wait till me buds are crispy to the touch. Then I put them into mason jars. I only fill the jars half way full of buds and cap them with the air tight lids. Then I lay the jars on their side. I do this because it lets more air hit the surface of the buds when they're spread out evenly in the jar. Next I put the jars in a dark cool place with no light what so ever.

Now just after one day open it up and your bud should be moist again, not dry to the touch anymore but moist. The bud is now drawing the moisture from the inside out slowly over time. Each and every day you open your jars to let the moisture escape and at the same time your letting fresh dry air in.

Some will leave there jars open for 15 min 2 to 4 times a day. I go by how wet me bud is. At first if it feels real wet I'll leave it open for an hour or more a day. Then as it starts drying more I'll come down on my air time till I'm around 15 min a day. When I reach the point to where I like the moisture level in me bud for smoking, I just leave the cap on the jar and store it. After your buds reach your desired moisture level they should still cure for quite some time when left in a cool dark place.

This is the method I use but it's not the only one. I like the results this gives me so I'm sticking to what works.

If anyone has any different methods they like to use. Your more than welcome to share them here.

Peace.

It's kinda hard to describe. Taste and smell are fruity and the high is definitely a couch lock buzz, 4 to 5 hits and your stoned. The buzz lasts for a good 4 to 5 hours and then it turns into a burnt out buzz for another 3 hrs. I got some clones I'm putting into flower before to long.

As I stated earlier in the thread, this grow was rushed to make it by Christmas. I only have two grow rooms, one for veg and one for flower. I had to take the clones about 36 day's into flower because I was waiting another plant to finish before I could move the NL in there. I started the NL flowering in my veg room while waiting on the other to finish. That's why I had to wait to take the clones so late. It took like 24 days before the clones even started to show roots and signs of re veg and there just now starting to take off. So It'll be after the first of the year before I get started to document them in this thread. I'm planning to run this strain at least 3 more times before I move on to another strain. So I'm a little behind schedule right now but there is definitely more to come so stay tuned.

Peace.

I hear ya. I was kinda surprised with the results myself. Up until now all I've been growing is the local bag seed and it doesn't even come close to the quality of this NL5. So in reality I'm not used to smoking this high grade bud. I'm sure over time I'll build a tolerance to it and I it won't have the wow factor I'm experiencing now. So I'm just enjoying the ride while it lasts.

I gave my pops a 1/4 bag for Christmas, but a cpl of days before that I gave him a joint to take home with him. On Christmas day he showed me the joint I gave him and he still had 2/3rds of the joint left. I said you still got all that left? He said hell yeah, I just take 4 or 5 tokes and I'm good to go. He said he didn't need anymore than that. For now I feel the same way, 4 or 5 tokes and I'm good.

Great Post! I use the same method.

I cut up and save part of the main stem to re-hydrate the buds if they dry out too much. If they are still crispy after leaving the jar sealed for a day, I will throw 2 or 3 two inch pieces of stem into the jar for a few hours to bring the moisture level back up to perfection. Once you have the moisture level perfect for curing long term, still check them from time to time to ward off mold and powder mildew. I have lost a few jars of bud because I stopped checking.

Dropastone.... you should continue to keep the NL#5 going when you add another strain, atleast until you can replace with something better. I still have my 1st strain going (MK-Ultra - 2 years now), because it is incredible!

:hump: Good Luck +rep when I can again...
