I have a lot to do in the next week, starting with finishing the new fan setup. There will be an update to go with that was well.
Bishes are bushin hard, I want a full 3x3 to spread these two out... all that sounds dirty.

Tomorrow(Day 29, Week 5) begins the 45min light drop per day until Day 36 Week 6, the first day of 12:12.

Fed yesterday @ ~1000ppm, 5.8pH. ~44oz solution each: 4.25mL(Canna A, Canna B, Cannazym), 3.5mL Rhizotonic, 1.2mL CaMg+, 0.3mL Drip Clean, 2-3x drips of pH down. Current absorption/transpiration/consumption rate: 2x feeds per week.

Next time I take a root pic, somebody will pop a boner. No signs of PM. Those bennies must have helped.

It's not exactly mainlined but the nodes are so tight they might just all form one hub anyways.

I was going to make a "true mainline", but once I saw how fat the stalks were getting I decided to try my own twist. Both plants have been topped twice, for four main heads. The first set of branches that came out had the first set of fans/chutes/stipules removed on both plants. Once the fans were shadowed they got trimmed. As far as future pruning goes, they're not done just yet. Basically, I'm taking the two heads from each of the lower nodes, and making 8 tops. 4 true tops, and 4 side branches. I've considered topping the second nodes as well, yet to decide whether that's a good idea or not, I don't know how much it will help(and I have 7 days of veg left).

So far, my theory to defoliation has been "minimal", but seemingly quite effective. The whole plant is <4 inches tall right now, and 12" wide. I don't want to waste too much energy on the future little bud sites, but if they're getting good light, I see no need to remove them. I figured I would wait another couple days to see what bits of secondary growth that I want to keep, and do one more pre-flower prune. Once they push pistils, I probably won't remove budsites unless they are shadowed/covered.

The bottom two nodes are really close together, and 2nd and 3rd node are just far enough apart right now that the knots on the stem aren't touching yet. I'm not sure how much more the stalk will fatten up, but at this rate it will be a real healthy highway for nutes.

Every time I see Wilma now, I think about Romans...

Update, Day 32:

light, full power, 14:15 On, 9:45 Off. Wednesday will be the first day of 12/12.

revamped cab a bit, need to fiddle with the intake and carbon filter some more... seems to be a continual thing.

The S&P 100X is "quiet", but the previous setup was completely unnoticeable.

Given the options I had, I chose to mount the fan in that location because it allows me to raise my light a lot more.

Update: Day 36; Day 1 of Week 6; first light cycle of 12/12, W&R's on.

The last four days has shown a decent amount of stretch, but mostly just bushy and taking up more floor space. Growth of the tops has been healthy, minimal heat stress, but they did hit 88F for a couple hours. Under branching seems healthy, I supercropped a couple of them to see how they would fill out. The ones I've pinched have picked up the red hue of the stems ahead of the rest and allowed me to make corrections for the "clocking" of the tops.

Wendy is still the most open and stretchy. Wilma is still the most bushy, with the tightest nodes/canopy.

Light penetration, even through the leaves, is more than I expected. I've had them as close as 16.5" to the light. They stretched when I flipped the reds on a couple days ago. I've been lowering the light cycle by 45mins per day, and adjusted the on/off times to where I want them.

I have been using the DIY carbon filter I started with, but I need to change that around. I need it to be filtered 24/7, and it's only on while the light is on. Terpene production is the highest during the dark cycle(or so I've read). It's beginning to smell more like a patients garden than just a garden... not bad, but I know it.

I have been light on the pruning, but some fans were removed yesterday. More will be removed, I just don't know when exactly, within the next 10 days though.

Canna's recommendations for feed(tsp/gal) during the first 7-14 days of blooming.
A: 3.0
B: 3.0
RT: 0.5
CZ: 2.5
Boost: 2-4
Total PPM: 1330

I've been mixing a nutrient solution of ~1.25L, which gives the appropriate runoff for me. I've been feeding once every 3-4 days, 3 if it's been hot. My "CF" or correction factor is 1.6, take whatever tsp/gal number and multiply by 1.6 to get my X.XmL/1.25L nutrient solution. I'm about to whip up a batch and see where that takes me.

A/B: 4.8mL, RT: 0.8mL, CZ: 4mL, Boost: 3.2mL, DC: 0.25mL, CaMg+: 1mL(100PPM) ... All adjusted to my 1.25L solution: 1010/1020ppm, 5.8/5.9pH ~10% runoff. Boost is not very concentrated, less than Rhizotonic at least.

Normally temps are 77-82F. Again, I deal with heat issues b/c I can't/don't leave my AC on while I'm gone and I stuffed a 5W panel in 18cu.ft.

Needless to say, I'm quite happy with my progress. Every time I mix nutes, I think about a 3D printer using those amounts of nutrients to build up my plants bigger.

Update, Day 48, Week 7

I was out of town for a few days, and the only person I can trust(with this) took care of my ladies. It went well, they seem to be quite happy and pushing the flower stretch. I had the perimeter of the light 18" away from the top/s on the edge of the plant/s, they made good use of that space. I was actually impressed by the growth, given temps got a bit high.

I have been bottom feeding since the flowering stretch. I made a Max/Min line on a 5gal bucket, and dunk the AP into it. It's a tad snug, or could be real snug if you tried to fully immerse the medium.

And my light can only go an inch higher...

When I measured today, they grew 2.5" since I adjusted the light last.

Looks hella healthy in there Wimbo! Done a fantastic job ... that is a FAT hub for those supports. ATB, will be here waiting on some bud development

Notice your droopy leafs? Too much water without light to process.

Best to water first thing in the morning.

Here's 45min after the lights on. I usually feed/water within the first 1-3hrs of lights on. I switched to bottom feeding. What I was applying from the top, would make runoff channels through the coco. So I would have a lot of runoff without a lot of absorption into the medium/rhizosphere.

This is ~24hrs since the feed, they're all perked up now.

Not exactly.

I wanted a pic or pics from before the application of PK13/14. So, that's what you got... I felt I should update because of the time I had off.

Next feed the shorter one will rotate to the front.


Edit: It does seem like "the droop" happens very quickly. With the exception of the first couple to a few hours after watering, they have been happily pointing up.
