Clone or a clone of a clone

thx for posting this, I heard rumors about it previously but were not able to find the scientific evidence.

thing is, a genome is kinda large and a few mutations here or there wont make a diff (esp. bc most genes are inactive anyway...

Jesus I’m actually interested in this thread and had to skip to the end. The term that (AFAIK — I skipped a bunch) has not been posted here yet is senescence.
senescence, which makes me think that instead of cell divisions slowing and ultimately stopping, it’s more an issue of mutation.
it is bc plants do not age like we commonly understand. located at the tip of shoots and roots there s the meristem which contains cells that are always "fresh" - so the plant can renew itself if it grows.

Ok this is what I’m talking about.. also I’ll post another interesting article.. none of the trees I’ve clipped clones that when giving away, didn’t seem to look like mine.. at least to my eye..they did however mention genome..

Tissue culture is closer to what we think about as true clones but that also really isn’t a clone. It’s a silly term if you think about it, which leads to idiots talking about genetic shift and all sorts of nonsense
can we please get back on topic ? Clones do not stay the same over a long period of time.....why ? Spek says its impossible , some say genetic shift or whatever the fuck.... I just would like to get some answers. i have 3 species over 15 years old.

How is that not on topic? We’re talking clones and it would help people to understand that they are the same plant regenerating to discourage all the nonsense. Maybe you’ll get better answers with the right terminology? You have three species or three strains?

I never asked about the 3 "strains" , im asking everyones opinion on how to keep them as close to the mother as possible over a long period of time.

Take good care of them
If i were a rookie , i would have no idea which ones to "take good care of" as you do that with all of them. Thanks for at least trying.

Look , go back to the last pages , when i first jumped in. It was a giant fight with some dude growin reggie bricks. Thats the ONLY reason i asked to get back on topic. There is no reason for you to come off dickish towards me.

Nobody is being bullied here, you are rude so it was returned. There is no secret sauce, you just keep good care of them. If you have speci.... i mean strains alive for 13 years you obviously know how to do it so what gives?

You start with some idiot comment telling me to stay on topic while I’m on topic. Explain it to you and you say I’m being a dick to you. Like I said, take your species and fck off

I read that article and got a lot of the info i was asking for. thanks to whoever posted it

I got species from this forum, years ago....some rude ass like yourself came in and called me a dummy for calling um strains , so everybody started calling um species ....i dont recall the reason behind it. Kinda like "flushing" .... causes arguments everytime its brought up.... the new RIU thing is "your dumb if you think flowering starts on the flip" ...just dumbass kids like yourself that are better then everyone else and trys to hard to make it be known.
You aint been around long enough to remember those days obviously and your prolly correct, the correct term is prolly strain. Im not sure , i dont know it all. I dont claim to.
