Case Law

And here is an example of how it is Constitutional for 2 people in the same Religion, or even the same Congregation, to have differing ideas.
Thomas v. Review Board of the Indiana Employment Security Division, 450 U.S. 707 (1981)
"However, the resolution of that question is not to turn upon a judicial perception of the particular belief or practice in question; religious beliefs need not be acceptable, logical, consistent, or comprehensible to others in order to merit First Amendment protection."

Charges were not 'dropped'. The conviction was overturned by an 8-0 decision of the US Supreme Court. Part of the basis of that 8-0 decision was J. Edgar Hoover's illegal FBI wiretaps and surviellance. I lived through those times.
When the Supreme Court Overturns a decision I call it dropped, that is like the 3rd time I did that in this thread. And while lower courts may have made decisions, it is dropped.

And that is not what is important, what is important is that you can use those rulings in the lower courts to change their decisions. Look at the 3 cases this thread started with.

Hey @Finshaggy make sure you are also familiarizing yourself with the US 5th Circuit Appellate Court, Texas' State Supreme Court, and your local jurisdiction's case law as well.

Im most impressed with your TT (Troll Tolerance), it would appear to me that your TT is some next level, pimp $hit!

Hope you win your case, power to "We the People..."

Also,
Always try to get your case in a Federal Court. Most people would be afraid of that, but the City and State respect the Constitution much less than any Federal Court. The State Supreme Court is the best of any State Court.

Already do. I read the 5th Circuits decisions all the time, I can get you a list of them.

Oh. OK then. I will continue to call it 'overturned' as that is much different than what I consider 'dropped' to mean.
The media says dropped, because to call something a Conviction when it was later overturned is just factually inaccurate. A Conviction requires a Convict.

And while "the US Supreme Court" was narrow enough and excluded anyone outside the US, this is a case law thread, so here are some 5th Circuit cases (really only for people in Texas and Louisiana)

Cruz v. Beto 405 U.S. 319 (1972)

Robert Soto V Robert Hunt (5th Cir. 2015)

Mayfield v. TDCJ, 529 F.3d 599 (5th Cir. 2008 )

Paston Rick Barr and Philemon Homes, Inc. V City of Sinton (5th Cir. 2007)

A.A. v. Needville Independent School District (5th Cir. 2010)

Sossamon v. Texas 563 U.S. ___ (2011) (Rose to the US Supreme Court)

City of Boerne v. Flores, 521 U.S. 507 (1997) (Rose to the US Supreme Court)

It's my opinion that people are trolling the thread more than they are trolling Fin. In years past some members have been mean spirited and directed misplaced aggression more towrds our man Fin. Things have shifted plenty, which is important - otherwise he may not work his magic here regularly. It may be difficult for others to admit, but they have gained respect for the guy that they may not have had before. This is why Finshaggy is my lawyer and not some other hack. In this day and age it's difficult to find a professional attorney with spiritual connections, who actually knows what they are doing. 10,000$/ year to keep an attorney on retainer, of Fin's caliber, is a bargain.
