Worse strains I have ever grown : ( everybody has a story or two )

Ultraviolet auto ( I think it was Samsara )
Tangerine Dream ( Barney )
Unknown Ducksfoot ( not very hard hitting )
Grape Ape ( OG ) ( Cali connection )
Dark Devil ( auto ).

Most were autos and that was probably a big red flag.
Mephisto Sweet Toof was good tho.

Hey Budz, speaking of Mephisto, I have about a dozen photo runs under my belt. But, I want to try my hand at Autos. I know kinda bass-ackwards. I was a problem child. What Mephisto beans that are obtainable here in the U.S. that you would say are "don't miss running these". TIA for your help!

To be honest I haven’t ran too many of their strains ( got too many seeds as it is ) but have run Sweet Toof / Chemdogging / Hubbabubbamellowscope. I have heard good things about mango smile , forum stomper , Samsquatch. I used North Atlantic seeds as seed bank.

Also look at Night Owl - breeder off shoot of Mephisto .

This was Sweet Toof during flower. I used a wide 5 gallon …. recommend at 3-5 gallon for minimum size .

Forum Stomper and AVT are great strains! Also Kannabia's Gnomo ( Mataro Blue ) is a kickass strain. I also grow both photos and autos and have grown quite a few. in the last 10 years.

QB 96 rig - Hempy Clones

They are looking more established in their buckets.
Ph 5.9 with GH Maxigrow / Hydroguard . I am throwing around 650 ppm at them currently.

Added the Humboldt Blueberry Muffin ( Purple Panty Dropper / Razzle Berry ) into a Micro Hempy with a coco base at cup bottom. Thats how i make hempy “ plugs “ for transplant - while i wait to make room for a full size bucket - it seems to work out ok as roots will grab the coco when i pull plug.

Its just a thing i do sometimes- no real benefit but used to enter solo cup comps with this setup.

Interested in that Mango Smile myself but I need to run the crap I already bought and the freebies …. Lol.
Retired engineer did a grow journal on that one this summer. I got a sample of it and it's pretty damn good bud. I usually stay away from Mephisto because of how they used to do the limited drop stuff but they seem to have some good autos. Hubba bubba smelloscope was a good plant and I was really new when I grew it. I have a ton of autos to run and no time or space for them until I get over this kush fixation.

Right on … sweet tasting / cookie smelling strains are getting long in the tooth for me. I like weed taste - weed nose to it , not some baskin robbins bullshit.

If i wanted an actual bluebery i would scour for a DJ Short cut. Im with you on Kush - just some danky dank. Hard to beat that shit. Hate cheeses tho. Lol.

I haven't grown any cheese strains yet. Never was a fan of the strain when I got it on the street in the old days. I have four Purest Indica seeds that just came up days ago that I hope will take me down memory lane. I'm a Northern Lights junkie and haven't had any in years so I'm way too excited to run these. I also got a BOG Seeds Sweet Cindy that came up from my old collection so I'm hoping for a girl like crazy. I'm waiting on Sour Bubble to see if it's going to germinate, if not I think I have 4 more seeds of it and I'll take extreme measures to get one of those to go. Should be something in there for an indica guy lol.

Blackbird - Flower

In my opinion - this rig is really working out well. Although I still have a ridiculous amount of power left to use ( I’m on like the the 3rd notch of dimmer ) , it definitely is a helluva good choice for any 3x3 or 4x4 setup. Even in an open space ceiling hang - this is well worth a look.

The workmanship and construction is top notch - leading to minor dusting / cleaning in its straight forward design. Temps have been negligible and easily controlled. Maybe I will jump into that wireless dim option too. Hard to believe that I still have upwards of 600 watts still on tap. I advise monitoring plants response to gauge power over just max - this rig would definitely bleach your tops if not careful.

I still plan that UV mod after this grow , but for anyone looking for a solid light , this is it.

Well , I am still battling some deficency with the White Wedding - even tho I narrowed PH . I flushed them for any salt buildup and noticed they are ppm sensitive. So I am trying to ride them out as best I can. They reek of sweet dough and have some purps showing , with good frost. Just gotta watch them girls til end.

The Cherry Soda Twist is another story ….. they are growing long stout buds. Knobby buds - maybe the Do-Si-Do side pushing thru.
The other Cherry Soda has long noodle pistils and more compact buds - pheno difference. Will be interesting to compare smoke :bigjoint: .

I am probably gonna give my soil blend a rest for awhile - so I can see if I can experiment with a longer flower mix. Thinking of using seabird guano in mix or top dress next time. So I will be sticking with hempy buckets here on out for some future grows.

QB96 w/ Sunblaster T5HO ( Pure Par Veg bulbs )

Decided to just bucket up the last hempy cup ( Humboldt Blueberry Muffin ). It had a little stretch goin on so I figured , just do it.
Fired up the supplemental Pure Par Veg bulbs - 420-470nm (blue) and 620-670nm (red) with the quantum’s. The blue bump seems to make them happy.

650 ish PPM @5.8 upfront on GH MAXIGROW

Blackbird - Flower part 2

Well , after some investigation into my continued leaf issue - I came to the conclusion that 1 gallon grow bags are not going to cut it for extended photos. I own up to that fuck up. For Autos - easy peazy , plant only has around 100 days in it. For these photos , my mix has basically exhausted itself.

I was on this gallon grow kick because of autos - should have come out of my Kush fog to realize I need more medium to carry over growth.
It is what it is on these containers - all I can do is feed more regularly and at the narrow uptake as needed. So in the future , 3 gallon minimum sizes.

Stupid fucking mistake.

However …… flowers are pungent and adding weight still. So , I will just ride them out as long as I can.

Blackbird is doing fine - bumped a little power up.

REVEG TIME :weed:

Those white wedding clones are showing the expected wonky reveg growth as expected. Once I see the typical leaf sets in a few weeks I will train it a little. These monster cropped clones are growing well - and not too concerned on wild child growth . It was a late decision to take these when I was in early flower but no hurry. It actually allows a longer window for me to finish off Blackbird plants then I can run these buckets .

The extra reveg weeks will fit in with the flowering ones for now. QB 96 got power bump and Pure Par run time increased .
Began to introduce Armor SI into feed to strengthen them Beyotches -

Blue Mufgin has began second set of leaf and is doin her own thing. She will give up some branches later in grow for some clones.
Maybe even hit her with some CS at some lowers to make some seeds - since this is the only one I got.

Peace and Stay High bongsmilie :bigjoint:
