2 new cuttings ( motor breath ) - taken today

Been a bit quiet without you chiming in on quantums.

Quantum Update :

COCO Buckets / HEMPY BUCKETS

Fired up the ol’ workhorse ( QB304 w/ COBS ) ….

The strains are the clones I made from the Motor Breath plant Cafe Racer ( now under 12/12 ) . The Cafe Racer clone really rooted out well.
I like the Mother Earth Coco / Perlite mix. Coco was initially watered with a CalMag / Water saturation to hydrate it , then I mixed up a 640 ppm Veg feed using GH MAXIGROW - Ph adjusted to 5.85 using citric acid . Buckets are 2 gallon size.

Hempy Buckets are 100% perlite using same feed amounts. Those 3 plants are also clones KKP .

I am running these under 20/4 .

BLACKBIRD Quantum rig ( 3x3 )

This one is actually under a 12/12 cycle with some other new flowering plants. It began flowering under a typical 18/6 with the other plants while they vegged to their “ flip ready “ sizes. I am starting to run my autos together with my regulars.

I start my autos at either 20/4 or 18/6 until stretch is over then straight to bloom 12/12 - it’s Blooming anyways .
But if I run a full auto tent then I keep everything under a static light cycle.

No Rules right ?

This lady is in her air pot with my typical layered mix and is now “ fed “ with Roots Organic Terp Tea Bloom.
A good heaping tablespoon and water in with tap. No PH adjusting.

She smells good and am digging the large marshmallow shaped buds. She’s got some thinner sativa leaves so I will run this as long as necessary.
I am not counting weeks or days. Haze like smell for my nose holes.

QB96 rig with Sunblaster T5HO

These 2 girls started as clones ( Ethos Forbidden Zittlez ) that I took from a main plant that I grew out. I have a couple of clones taken from these before they flowered and are in some small containers until I transplant.

These have a distinct peppery / sweet spicy funk to them , and is a good smiley face high. Some purps show thru in flower later on.

QB304 W/ COBS ( 3500K )

Fired up ol’ faithful - QB304 boards ( Original LM561C Samsung diodes ) and Citizen COBS ( 3500k )
to run these coco plants / hempy and my pee plant ( yellow dream ).

All were fed today.

More Plants

KKP ( GG4 x Durban Poison ) x Purple Punch ( Larry OG x GDP ) solo cups.

4 Solo COCO cups are ready to transplant. They are well established plants with all growth pretty uniform. So that S1 seed experiment with purple punch might pan out. I should cross at least 2 of them - I up potted 2 into fabric pots ( 2 gallon ) in Mother Earth coco/perlite mix. I charged the first watering with Calmag / GH Maxigrow ( 560 ppm ) @5.85 ph.

note : If I do seed one of the 2 remaining cups …. Under 12/12 I will spray one with CS or STS to push fem pollen and let the other preflower then pollinate it with the other female. That should give me the next gen. I will post that project on this thread.

I might have to anyways be I am out of room for 2 more larger pots.

Seed Experiment time

Well , after some careful thought , several glasses of Jameson and several joints.…. I decided to use these last 2 ladies .

KKP ( GG4 x Durban Poison ) x Purple Punch ( Larry OG x GDP ) solo cups.

I have Silver Mountain Collodial Silver on hand and has been a go to mix. It pushes above 50 ppm and seems very shelf stable so far ( over 2 years ).
From what I gather collodial silver stored properly should last at least 10 years. My sprayer was an old Tiremas Seed spray bottle. I like it because of the similar dark / light restrictive blue color.

Anyways I picked one of the cups to be the pollen maker ( marked with X ) . This one was totally sprayed down - leaf / nodes and all.
I will do targeted spraying at least twice a day. Both cups are under 12/12.

The other cup will do the “ momma duty “ and be the pollen recipient. Both will run under 12/12 to match each other in growth.
The CS sprayed cup will bear Fem pods and the other should be getting to a preflower stage by then and get knocked up.

The “ momma seed cup “ will be fully pollinated, regardless of flower formation. Once the pollen making cup does it’s job - it will be tossed.
And the MOM cup grown out as needed to seed.

I always do this 2 cup method for general seed making. Cups will be under the QB 96 rig.

TOPPING TIME


Pulled the 3 COCO plants ( Motor Breath 2 and Cafe Racer ) - these were the first set of clones taken from the original plants now in a flowering tent.
Really glad I did ….. These plants are growing extremely well. All have been on GH MAXIGROW ( 750 ppm ) @5.85 ph / 1/4 tsp Calmag / Hydroguard .

Motor Breath

Here are the 2 cuttings i took before the main motor breath plant flowered. They rooted out very well.
I added them to coco solos.

Once they start to grow out , i will find some container to run them in.

More than likely these will also donate a few cuttings when they get to a bigger size. Mom is growing out like a beast so keeping cuttings from her is a no brainer.

Update Sunday -

Been at least a week on those coco clones ( Motor Breath ( 2 ) - Cafe Racer (1) ) and they are growing extremely well .
Comparing to post #251 ( Tuesday ) , the growth is quite noticeable and have begun to train out them a bit. Some LST and stem bends.
Feed was bumped to 870 ppm at 5.85ph.

Maxigrow / Calmag / hydroguard . I also started foliar silica treatments.

Motor Breath
( clone 1 ) - This means it was the first of 2 cuttings from original Motor Breath now flowering. The other is labeled 1 (a) .
A second set of cuttings are in solos as listed above.

I am running perpetual grows now to hedge against a sweltering California summer. And probably will only have one tent instead of 3 currently.

These 2 side grows ( clones ) taken from a plant I ran not too long ago. I liked the smoke - that onesmooth / peppery / spicy . Definitely a get a goofy grin kind of high.



They are as mentioned before a layered soil mix I tend to use in all my “ soil “ container runs. It seems to run fairly long without much recharging - and they are on a top dress of Roots Organic Terp Tea Bloom. I really like this stuff. I didn’t really use it on the original plant but these girls while on it have some stank radiating , much more than without it.

Anyways one of them is ahead in maturity and the other still has more pistils to mature off. I’m in no hurry with these 2. But as you will see in an upcoming photo of my VEG tent - them plants will over take the space pretty soon and may have to flip some sooner than later.


I have 2 flower tents going and 1 Veg . So if I got to flip that one too , I won’t have a space for my new clones.

Not bad for 1 gallon grows.

I’m gonna ask … am I crazy but those blue bucket plants just look like they doubled in size since Saturday ?

They look insanely larger to me. That is why I think I am gonna run out of Veg space in this tent. As a matter of fact all those plants look like they are blowing up.

2 solo cups are new clones ( motor breath ) from one of the blue bucket plants. Even those are out growing cups.

The red coffee container HEMPY are also clones KKP ( King Kong Poison )

Fabric Coco plants are KKP as well.

Definitely gonna run more coco from now on. The growth in that medium is insane.

Veg Tent Madness


Welp … my only Veg tent going now is getting too god damn crowded. The other tents are in full flower so …. No help there.

I pulled all plants for training - LST / Lollipop / Selective Pruning. They all took it like a champ and have recovered today.
I keep forgetting to mix up a silica foliar , so that is gonna happen tomorrow.

Anyways , if one of my tents doesn’t hurry up and finish those plants - I may have to flip this one.
And not really wanting to do that.

Even those 2 new clones ( Motor Breath ) that were in solo cups - had to be up potted.

Garden Duty

Well … gardening is never done .

As I mentioned that I am getting concerned over space in my only Veg tent currently , I decided to move the 3 KKP hempy into the QB 96 tent ( under flower ) to open up a little more space .
