I've been seeing people posting that you can rehydrate the used up boveda packs, does this actually work? They say to put the used up boveda pack in a air tight container with some water not touching it and over the course of about a week they will be ready to use again. Was just wondering if anyone here had tried it.

ya guys, if you dont use these packs you NEED TO. dry your bud, throw a $1 pack in each one of your jars and never worry about burping them or anything like that. the bud will continue to cure for over a year if left sealed shut :D

Ive done it. It only took me about 24hrs for the pack to hydrate. I imagine it would depend on how much the pack was depleted and how big of container you are using. I'm not saying this actually "renews" the packs but it does put moisture back into the pack. I don't know if the packs are still able to stabilize accurately after doing this. I use BP's and have had very good results.

yup,the packs still hold at 62%

i've been keeping my jars between 60 and 65% for years. this makes things easier for sure.

Just don't let the boveda get bone dry. I tried to rehydrate a few packs in a ziplock with a shot glass of distilled and I think they were too far gone to rehydrate themselves. I use the bovedas for my cigar collection.
