Are there any smart Trump supporters?

American journalism has zero integrity, they go with whatever gets views.
No shit. Common typical America needs drama to get us excited. Pick a side and let's spend hours "debating" whatever impassioned with emotion and frustration. It makes us feel alive. The media gives us the drama we crave. Me. I'm craving some breakfast right now. Hmmmm. Gonna have to solve this problem.

Would you rather we had an objective source of news?

If so, how would we convince viewers it is objective? It seems cable journalism has done pretty well with the 50/50, give everything a chance model. So how do we show, now, after they've had their run, actual, objective, news? If we show "Climate change", we'll be charged with "LIBERAL MEDIA!!!". The right has successfully convinced a little less than half the country that the government, the media, as well as the institutions that are charged with educating our higher youth are all "in on it".

How do we convince them otherwise?

This all being exceptionally ironic considering the constant attempt at Christian indoctrination in American institutions

What does any of that have to do with breakfast?

I was just thinking about this.. I haven't seen a single Trump supporter who can tell you what Donald Trump supports. They can recite his vague, ambiguous platitudes (He gonna make 'Murica great agin!), but they can't tell you specifics - how much something will cost, what percentage of the American people might support it, if anything has a chance of becoming actual policy, etc.

So does this person exist? Someone who can have a rational conversation about Trump's policies and why they support them without reverting into a neandertaal? Point them to this thread
Stop comparing Trump to a career politician and things will make sense. Let the guy see how bad things are first. Career politicians fill you with lies and promises about policies, and costs, taxes and spending.

Trump can`t do that because he`s not part of the system we don`t like. We need an outsider to get in and tell us how bad things really are. Hillary seems to think things are great and the future is bright,...because she is a career politician with direct ties to the state of our Union and trust of our citizens.

You`re looking for a boat in the desert.

That video. OMG. but to be honest. Trump didn't say those things. I feel what the issue with trump is. His biggest fans are those type of people who instigate confrontation. I guess they have a vote too. Honestly. The picking may be slim this time around. Thank goodness we didn't end up with that other dude tho. What was his name? Romney? I never thought Obama was all that. He was just the better alternative to that guy. Tho I feel if Congress had not worked against Obama in such a flagrant disrespectful manner. He would have done a lot more. I think Obama was a great prez compared to others in my lifetime. He's an honest and genuinely good man. I respect dude. I'll bet he will be happy as hell when his presidency is over. The whole job seems like a thankless pain in the ass. To me at least. I wouldn't want it. Just my opinion and feel free to disagree.

I don't believe you

You say you support Trump because he's not like all the other politicians, but neither is Sanders, but you didn't support him. So it must be something else that Trump has that Sanders doesn't..

that's like saying communist support Sanders maybe the difference between has something to do with the entire socialist thing? But for the record i personally support Ted Cruz

I support Cruz because I feel he is the least corrupt and I just like the way he talks and presents himself do I think he will make a "good" president? Well history shows that none of the canidates will make a "good" president but I feel he would be the best of the proposed but of course there will be people who disagree and have the own opinions or it would not be politics the best I have seen in modern times was Ron Paul not for his legalization stance that was a bonus but for his I don't care how many people I piss off I'm going to do what's right attitude I am a registered democrat but I'm a swing voter and vote for who I believe is best I'm blind to party titles

I do not support anyone who says they'll put their religious convictions front and center when making policy decisions.
