You could have been and still could be low stress training to fill the spaces on the sides of the net. Weave the tops through the net "like your making a basket" and get a full canopy of wonderful tops. You still have some stretch coming if you flipped 7 days ago.

I tried this and here is my attempt. It doesn't look that good but I hope it grows more during the stretch like written above.

This is my first time trying scrog. I plan to start from seed, not clone like seen here, for the next run which should be way easier now that I know more about what I'm doing.

Dont be scared to bend them a little bit. Bend a few tops under a twine, give it a day, move the same ones under the twine more, give it a day. Eventually you will have the tops weaved through the scrog net like a basket weaver. Whether you get the canopy full or not this time, you still have a nice plant going.
Like they say, hindsight is 20/20 so take what you learned from this one and apply it to the next.

I made some upgrades. This includes two 120mm PC fans (1 on each heatsink). I also drilled holes to tuck the wires for the cobs behind the heatsinks. It looks a lot better and the fans keep the heatsink below 80°. 1467863105995-1474236439.jpg 1467863145232-492610330.jpg

There's an earlier post that says day 7 update. That's labeled incorrectly, as that was about day 4. Here is the plant at the beginning of day 7. 1467863551975667697595.jpg

I flipped on June 25th, sorry for the confusion. Today is July 7, so its flower day 15 in the post above. I got really mixed up somehow.

Day 14 Flower and that's correct. Not the posts above, I miscounted.

Hello, im not sure about that, i would fill out more the scrogscreen before i would filp to 12/12.
Maybe some other guys can give some opinions too
I'm only on my 3rd SCROG, but i can safely say that your strain (indica/sativa) dominance really determines when you should flip in a scrog.
More sativa dominant plants will stretch like a motherfucker and i would say its better to flip when they hit the net.
As opposed to more Indica dominant strains i would tuck and weave for a bit before flipping.
just my 2cents :bigjoint:

Had a good laugh at the miscount antics above, lol

This is the same setup I run, 4cxb3590 at 50W each. I put all 4 of my COBs on the same module, though. Love the light it makes!

Pulling up a seat to watch your grow...

Thanks @ttystikk I'll follow your grow as well, here's an update at day 21. I've worked on spreading the canopy, and tucking the fan leaves beneath the buds. I have been tucking buds and branches to create more tops and I have also been defoliating the tiny, lower buds. 1468650330616-1088647577.jpg 20160716_012903.jpg

I'm thinking about switching to either two 2.5 Hempy buckets, or one 5 gallon Hempy bucket with 100% perlite, and possibly removing the scrog. Do you guys think this is a good idea judging by how this soil grow is going?
