Here's my solution to the proposed problem that my plants could lift the scrog up off the ground when they grow. I have secured the scrog frame by tying at each corner, 4 strings to the top of the tent frame, and 4 strings to the bottom of the tent frame. This prevents my scrog from moving up, or down. I hope its at a good position where its at. You can see the 7 lb rope I used in these pictures.

I cranked up the power today. This whole time it has been at about 65% power but I just turned my driver to 100%. Will I encounter any problems running my light maxed out?
Edit: well I had an immediate temperature spike when I maxed out the lights, so I backed off to about 75%. Maybe I will have to add CPU fans on the heatsinks soon to run at peak power.

let it veg and fill out for another and let it grow up to the net, when you switch to 12/12 keep weaving your net till the canopy is full then let it go, the stretch you get when you flip will fill the rest of your screen for you and your canopy will be flat as a pancake!

Is it safe for me to run my driver at max power? I can keep the driver air cool. The heatsinks rise to 83 F behind the chips. Is this recommended or should I keep them under 80 F like I have been?

If I can keep the temps inside the tent under 78 or 79?

should be no problem as long the driver is under 140 F. I post a picture from the datasheet of the driver.

i think 83 F on heatsink behind the chips is pretty good, as long the measurement of the temp is correct

Update. I'm thinking about flipping lights off for the first 12 hours tomorrow. It will mark flower day 1. I feel like its a good time. 20160624_231902.jpg 20160624_231910.jpg

my plants under COBs would fill in that space easy flipping today, unless you grow 100% indica, they do fill quite a bit in the first 21 days of flowering, gives you 3 more weeks of growth shes gonna be huge, I would flip today myself.

Yeah I ran it and harvested it, its been drying for about a week now, its really dry but I just don't like the way it smells and has very little trichomes on it so I'm probably gonna make hash with it but def won't smoke it like it is. It looks pretty bad to me. Here is the dried plant. 1466849049546-1358775834.jpg

mmmm i see

looks pretty fluffy too which i hear is not unsusual with the durban- its supposed to give a really good head high though(THV or smth special)

i suggest you smoke a bowl before you decide what to do with it

Durban poison was not bad, and I got some seeds from it if I want to run it again. But that plant is just not my style. Anyways, I got 5 new seeds in. Not sure which I'm going to run next, but I got Blueberry by Spliff Seeds, Madness by World of Seeds, Bubba Kush by Medicann Seeds, Medical Kush by Spliff Seeds, and Super Hash by Pyramid Seeds. All fems.

Update on flower day 3. Defoliation has been done on the small branches getting no light. 20160628_085830.jpg 20160628_085840.jpg 20160628_085845.jpg

Im hoping the twine scrog won't get caught up in my buds when they start to develop. I'm thinking maybe I should've used nylon or fishing line.

Stage 2 Defoliation has been done. I'm trying to get energy to those major budsites above the scrog net. Anything below the net, and I start to lose interest fast because I don't want my bud to get caught in the twine I used.

Nice! Another issue this could address is when there's more stretch than expected. It would be easy to adjust the screen upward if some of the colas started to bend. I like it.
