Had you not been using cal mag until now? R/O water?
Yep, correct. I just had to wait a few days, almost a week after ordering my first bottle of calmag for it to come through the mail. Not RO water, just regular tap water, pH to 6.2-6.5 and with nutes and calmag. Maybe I should start using RO water, I'll start reading more about that.

@wsntme thanks! well my squares are about 2" some are closer to 1". I just make sure the strings run through the canopy, so as to hold the stems down and to let the buds rise above the canopy. Also, its good to push the fan leaves under the net, so the buds get all the light.

Are you sure your squares are 2" and not 4" ? I see you've got 6 squares aft to front which would suggest your tent is 12" deep @ 2" per square. This is not really important, just a mere curiosity.

NICE! I can't wait to flip my first scrop into 12/12, looking good! How big are your squares approx? I'm curious for size comparison, I'm using 2" squares myself.

I'm not going to flip until I either get an A/C setup or the temps cool off/. Even with LED my tent can get mighty hot!
2-3" is what you want.

@wsntme My strings might be between 2.5 and 4" in places, but yes 2" is ideal. If I were to make another, I would drill holes in the PVC pipe for screws, to fix the net in place permanently. As you can see, I only tied them in a knot which allows them to slide and pivot (not recommended).

I would also use a better material for the net, like nylon string or something.

I agree. I'm inclined to go smaller even, or add diagonals! Anyway, my confusion is this being pics of a TWO FOOT x 3 but only having SIX squares......fore to aft. Scale was just hard for me to adjust visually.

I built mine with 4" squares and found out why 2-3" squares are much better. With the 4" i am having to use plant ties to tie down some branches to keep an even canopy. I will redo it after this grow and put in more screws and re-lace it.

I really like how you use it to dry your buds too. Great idea.
Thanks! A word of advice if you do build one. Have your screws slightly tilted back like on a 15-45* angle. Not straight up and down. It allows the string to kinda wrap around the pvc before going across and holds it better. Also, when you're stringing it all up, pay attention to which way you're wrapping the strings on the screws. (Counter/clockwise) so you're spacing stays even. Just my .02.
