368 watt CFL veg cab/600 watt HPS flower cab perpetual journal

lol wow! i logged in and 9 new likes! its like it used to be! lol...thanks so much everyone. its because of all of you that any of this is possible anyways!

so i think im going to put my mother into flower starting on monday. that will leave my veg cab empty and ready for breakdown/moving. i have 4 clones (yes, same clones as before) that may or may not eventually grow. 3 of them definitely have SOME root structure. trying to get them to pick up and really start growing. if they fail i still have a bag of bagseeds. weeding out males again will be fun...lol.

but there are a couple of you that will be really nearby and so i will CERTAINLY have to come pick up some new genetics. THAT i am amped about.

and now nothing. oh the irony!

so i got 32 grams dry from the lady i chopped on the 7th, dried til today. surprisingly i think they may have overdried a lil...they were laid out on racks in an open closet in a room we dont use. prolly a lil dry in there...anyway 32 grams is more than the first 2 plants that i harvested! pretty excited just lit my first bowl of the dried stuff...mmm nice.

i will be trying to take some pics of the flower cab today. i put my mother into flower as i got 3 out of those original 4 clones to root, only 2 have new growth tho. perdy hard to fuck up cloning apparently. lol. just takes WAAAYYYY longer. i mistreated the HELL out of these lil ladies...anyway my veg cab is now empty! weird. flower cab is looking sea of greenish. i numbered all my ladies, 1 was the one i chopped last week, 2 i put in a week later, 3 another week later etc through 8 and then lastly yesterday i put my mother in flower. she is a MONSTER cant wait to see what she produces...so #3 is fucking MONSTEROUS. main cola is as long as my forearm and thicker...and still filling in! just starting to get the first red hairs on her...

sorry everyone i have been EXTREMELY busy trying to figure out where i am going to live lol. seems to have worked out for my ladies though!

Ah, gotta love nice packed flowering areas. Great job utilizing all of that light They look great and I'm glad you're enjoying your hood/ballast/bulb. How do you change bulbs with that hood? Unhook the ducting and screw it in through the round hole?

yep thats what i do! the holes on the hood are a teensy bit smaller than actual 6 inch ducting so the ducting slides on very easily and then tighten em right down.

so.

i did something drastic, as i have to move.

i chopped everyone down.

literally everyone.

i kept the furthest along, #2, which is a pretty good yielder. nothing like what the others would have been like. SO sad.

but i took 20 clones from my mother so hopefully ill end up with something. but i had to disassemble everything in order to get help moving. such a tragedy. nothing could be done about it.

oh well i guess its a good opportunity to start fucking around with hydro.

lol yah things improved then i chopped everything down. its funny how much of this process we take (or I take) for granted...i chopped all my ladies down and my buddy came by and was like..."dude i HAVE to go through this garbage bag and pick out some buds..." i was like theyre not even done! he was like "well its a GARBAGE BAG FULL OF WEED and i dont care...this is a lifetime dream of mine!"

lol never considered that, but if you told me six or eight months ago i would be giving away weed from a garbage bag i woulda just laughed at ya...

anyways...all my clones made the trip. seem to be doing really well too...nice and green and the propagator is nice and humid...99% and 80F. should have some roots starting soon!

i have my smallest box still. that is all. i kept all the lights and hardware from the bigger two boxes OBVIOUSLY but i gave all the wood to my dad. lol. so now i have to buy a tent. suggestions anyone? ive got my 600watt that i want to run in it and space is not an issue...

I say grab a 4x8 so you have room to upgrade Room is not an issue right? It's nice to have a clean enclosed staging area Is the tent going into a basement again? I think you said it was - in which case I would go cheapo ebay style unless the brand name tents have dropped in price.

cool gas great idea...do they make 4 by 8s with a splitter in the middle? i would LOVE to have room to veg and flower! heading off to research lol...

ok so heres the deal. i have a space that will fit a 4 by 4 by 6 foot tent along with my 2 by 2 foot cube and enough more floor space to have a veg area...so now that I have THAT figured out...

i need to figure out what i should do for a medium, as i left all my buckets and soil behind. i have 5 5gal buckets that i could use 4 of for flowering with 10 inch net pots and hydroton. i just need to figure out what to veg in...i guess 3gal buckets with 6 inch net pots and hydroton? anyone got any suggestions? im thinking ill just DWC them all...so basically ill have to get a couple air pumps and air stones...no need to recirculate as long as the water stays up high enough...

awesome man thanks for coming by! so you dont have to read TOO far back to get an idea of my issues/ideas for right now, id say just go back a page or two. i ended up chopping down and trashing that whole flower box, minus one plant...and i JUST moved and so all i have at the moment is 20 clones in a 2by cube...ive still got all my CFLs and my 600 watt lumatek ballast and bulb and fans and whatnot...but trying to figure out how/what i want to do. i think im going to give DWC a try, and then maybe later add in the R to that mix...keep it easy and cheap for the moment. ALTHOUGH yesterday i got a SICK job offer...so...hmmm...lol

yeah no probs dont have time to read thru now but i will thanks for short summery tho. thats sux to hear about the girls, but problems are part of the game cant say i dont have my own.

no co2 in the res the roots need o2(why we have air pots and poly bags and what not) i have heard of people adding o2 to the res, but i wouldn't too much of a danger should you have an o2 buildup.

as far as co2 in a small setup i would just culture some harmless mycelium in a permeable bag made of something like tyvek, i think the sell them premade,

just take a clump from a fresh bag and propagate it, do a little research first though b4 you start making transfers and end up with a bunch of bad mold. but with that said its still pretty easy to do. and much less messy than yeast method.
