lol i can snap some of the lady i DID end up harvesting from...got a couple ounces...maybe ounce and a half. didnt have time to trim it properly which kind of makes it look a lil different...which i kind of like. looks more...outdoorsey...which isnt to say it looks like it grew outdoors just that it is darker green...anyways...

yeah matt seriously as soon as ya can man! i may not start work til july 16 so i may be REALLY bored for the next couple of weeks...

no prob flowa! thanks for the kudos!

ok so here is the one lady that i chopped and kept, the rest are GONE! decent yield tho...

here is my new space bare...not that its much fuller now but...youll see...

here are my clones! i kept the 2x2 box and a tray full of clones...ALL of these lil ladies rooted REALLY well...so amped! feel like i actually did it right.

and here is day 1 of my new mother. could only afford 1 bucket lid net pot and the hydroton to put into it, but it seems to be working well! i have a small air pump running 2 small 1 inch diameter airstones aerating the solution. i keep the waterline JUST below where (i think) the roots are so they seek out the water line (hopefully mimicking the water table)

and here she is just a lil bit ago. definitely growing!

and just for fun here is a pic of a couple totes of my modular garden. these are roma and cherry tomatoes and basil are in the peat pellets. starting these more fragile seedlings indoors, outside i have a tote each of zuchini, snow peas, cucumbers, and bell peppers...

so the plan is to get a 36x36x78 flowering tent and run the 600 in it with a 4 site DWC setup. i will have my mother growing out under the CFLs and i will flower 4 ladies at a time scrog style. i first need:

-the tent
-18gal tote
-4 6in net pots
-18 watt air pump
-8in circular airstone
-hydroton

then, its HYDRO TIME!

Everything looks great. I'm slightly jealous of the cement room - has to be great for temps and general environmental control. The modular gardens will be moved outdoors? Is it not too late to be starting veggies? The hydro plant definitely is growing and looks pretty happy to boot. 17 clones? When are they getting repotted/flowered? What will you do with em all while only flowering 4 at a time? Do you not have the room for a 4x4? It would pretty drastically up your maximum yield and help with heat issues.

Everything looks great. I'm glad your move seems to have gone well - and hope it did.

thank you very much good sir! yes the move went excellently and the cement room ROCKS for stability and cleanliness. As far as starting veggies goes, idk lol. it may be to late but they seem to all be growing at least. i did move those totes outside yesterday so i will see how all the tomato and basil seedlings do. They havent died yet!

yeah i wasnt sure any of my clones would root, or just wanted to have my pick from the rooteds. i AM getting a tent, i was thinking 3x3x6.5 though as i dont need to be flowering 9 plants at a time like i was. i mean i suppose i COULD but im trying for quality not quantity so...

the clones, as far as im concerned, have completed their usefulness. i am going to let them stay in that tray and feed it and water it so they stay alive. they wont grow too quickly but i dont think theyll die either. if they make it, awesome i dont have to wait for my mother to finish growing tall enough. if not, oh well! lol. i took so many cause i was trashing ALL my plants so i took as many as would fit in the tray.

anyways pic updates soon. i will do pics of my garden too! why not? lol.

OH GAS! i have a question. are aphids bad? i noticed a bunch on a couple of my pepper plants...being the resident insect expert...???

It all sounds great. I want to say that a 4x4 might increase quality a tad just because of how much easier it will be to maintain temps - of course if you're blowing enough air through the tent I guess it wont matter too much. Keep in mind that a 4x4 is almost twice the volume of a 3x3 (58.3ft^3 compared to 104 ft^3)

Aphids are bad. They can be just as destructive or more so than spider mites but are much much much easier to get rid of. Pretty much any pesticide will get rid of aphids and predatory insects seem to love them considerably more than mites. They are also a ton easier to remove by hand just by wiping them off with a rag or your fingers. Outdoors I generally do a light initial spraying or remove them by hand and then once the plants are established they don't seem to have as much of a problem as the rest of the outdoor predators kick in and take over.

cool gas, great info man. i will keep that in mind! just got back from the store a bit ago with some banana peppers, red chile peppers, chocolate mint, and dill! garden is actually starting to look like a garden! hopefully they bloom before they die lol...oh well its fun!

so i probably wont be able to get my tent and whatnot for a lil bit. cant really afford to unless i sell some and if i sell some i wont have any herb! lol. have to wait a lil bit. pics again soon guys! :-)

ok here is a bunch of pics of my garden! things are doing...ok i guess. wondering what kind of food strength i need to feed it because it is all promix. they did have the benefit of sitting out in the sun baking for a few weeks so hopefully that started up a lil of the microorganisms and whatnot...lol. hows that for technical. i have fed them once, about a third strength foxfarm about a gallon per tote...and they have been watered pretty much daily. wondering if they are a lil overwatered...or underfed...or both...any input on this would be great lol

and HERE is my mother. shes droopy! whats going on here? TINY bit of burn on the tips of the new leaves. i dont think it could actually be nute burn...COULD be i suppose but...idk...thoughts? i lowered the level of nutes in her res to JUST BARELY touching the bottom of the net pot. ABOUT right where the roots should be...

and. the attack of the clones. so i let them dry out a TINY bit too much. so yesterday i added a bit of the excess nutes from the mothers res into the bottom of the tray so there was about a 1/2 inch on the bottom of the tray. then they started growing like CRAZY!

let me know what you think guys...need some help with the mother!

your over watering a little bit on the veggies, just make sure to nute them once a week cause they are in promix. i don know what you feeds are like but i only do half strength of what it says on the bottle for general nutrition.

lol thanks matt. love the way you work.

poly your the man! thats kinda what i was wondering. i will let them dry out today and tomorrow too probably. i watered the other day cause it gets so hot during the day...didnt water yesterday though. i use foxfarm grow big for my nutes and half strength is almost exactly what i fed and will feed. how MUCH of that half strength do i use though? gallon per tote? more?

also, what about my new mother? lol. i think i fixed the droopy by lowering the nutrient level. i will go check now...

gallon per tote? lol it will probably take 3gal of water per tote a day, just make a nute solution i hope your not trying to hand water all those with buckets.... i would use a hose and just dilute a 1 gal solution for each at normal strength or 1.5x strength for what a gal mix is.

if you got a tote out ther to mix the water in then i would mix nutes at half strengh and hand water it till they were done. then use again the next day if any was left and just go bak to plain water. tbh this is why commercial farms like slow release fertilizer and compost.

its too humid, the clones that is, they need fresh air from time to time, trim away the dead parts and move on, they will.

the DWC looks over watered can you lower the water level?

about my mother: i did lower the water level but i can lower it even more if need be. it is just touching the base of the net pot. should it be lower now?

about the totes: yes i have a hose, use that for watering lol. i feed from buckets, like what i was thinking was i would make 2 - 5 gallon buckets at regular strength or whatever you guys suggest and put about a gallon in each tote and then water on top of that from the hose. do this once a week and water with the hose when necessary.

whaddya think poly?
