Please do explain to me why everyone doesn't use booster fans if they can provide the sort of impossible performance you are claiming? You are telling people who read this that it's a good idea to use booster fans instead of a proper inline fans. That's just bad advice.

its just math dude. cubic feet of tent vs cfm. doesnt matter what type of fan it is. air doesnt discriminate between fan types. perhaps your tent has a small passive intake? there is many different designs out there. that could prevent your tent temps from being cooler.

what im saying is booster fans are fine for small tents/boxes because of they're small spaces. use a booster fan in a 4x4 and you're asking for problems.

you're welcome to spend $60+ on big 450 cfm inlines, plus $50 for a variac to dial them down in a 2x2/2x3. Or get a $25 250cfm booster fan, with a more appropriate cfm for the tent size, and a $20 speed controller.

you dont have to change your fans dude, but you can stop calling me a liar because you dont understand now. thanks in advance.

So just to be clear if 2 different fans both blow 250cfm they are always going to be equal? I think you might believe that 250cfm is 250cfm and it doesnt change from fan to fan.
 
I think both of you are right, but you don't want the other to win lol. You can definitely use a booster fan in a small tent or box, but no it will not have the same efficiency as the equivalent legit inline fan. The inline would physically pull more air and with greater strength. Now let's all chill bill!
 
This fan is BIG. But it will fit snug at the top of my box so that's fine with me! Moves a ton of air, and pulls through the filter like nothing. German Made, says it all. Hope to have it all hooked up by the weekend :roll: Fuck work

Thanks, I'll keep you up to date. Yeah, I'm impressed with the genetics of this gg4. It's a very strong, rapid growing plant. I plan on scrogging definitely, which will be my first attempt at that growing technique. I'm excited for it though. I'm going to grab another gg4 clone for $13 and a gelato clone for $13 and run them aide by side, scrogged. Should be dope and my best set up to date. Thanks again bro
