250w CXM22 Dresser

I have this 6" fan on the way. Should be sufficient for my needs. Im using a crappy sixty something cfm booster right now in my cfl grow box, with a diy scrubber and it pulls air surprisingly well.

Fabricated a carbon filter for $25. Got some copper mesh from Amazon, a pen holder and pantyhose. Soldered a bigger cone, then filled with charcoal to make the pen holder and cone tops flush, slipped pen holder in panty hose, put in big cone and filled with carbon around it, then pulled panty hose over full filter.

your space (31"×15"x40") is about 10 cubic feet. any fan loses cfm when pulling through a carbon filter. so, a 4" booster fan pulls 100cfm max. Assuming 50-70% cfm loss from pulling through carbon filter, would leave you with 30-50cfm. That would mean your tent changes air 3/5 times per minute. Plenty of airflow.

you can get whichever inline fan you want. the booster fan will just save you considerable space

Do you guys have one fan for carbon filter and one for exhaust? And one for intake?

Typically you would just have one fan for the carbon filter taking care of everything. Suck through the filter and exhaust out of the tent.

That I have. But with 280W of COBs in tent I get 31-33°C right now. Room temp 27-29°C. I've tried everything to keep temp down but with no success.

you're room is too hot, can you cool it down? doesnt matter how much air you move if you just replace it with more hot air

Let us know how it works out! I've got to make one of those for my veg area soon.

Believe me, I've almost ordered a legit inline so many times from Amazon but then I chicken out because of the space limitations. But, but I definitely want something that's going to dump air.
Search craigslist for an armoire, space issues solved and you can bump up to a 4" fan filter combo, add a muffler or two for whisper quiet air movement

Where did you get the pen holder? The one in the CFL box is hooked up to a 4" booster yeah?
Pen holder is from Wal-Mart. If you can find another similar pen holder, but larger, you would be able to bypass creating the bigger cone. And yeah, the one in yhe cfl box is hooked up yo a cheap ass suncourt, 4 inch, 65cfm duct fan. Even with that fan my temps stay below 80 f no problem. Temps usually around 77f with room temp of 72.
