2022 Massachusetts Outdoor Growers

Blueberry Muffin Top’s - SUPER impressed with just how quick this strain flowers. I’m thinking about perhaps harvesting this coming weekend(the ones with 90% red shriveled hairs, anyway): what are your opinions on this? Or I may just see it through to second week or October and give ‘em the time they probably truly deserve. It’s just that rain is coming this weekend.

Gotta tell ya... I’m a relative newbie to outdoors, while acknowledging it was an atrocious bad year to start outdoors 2021, (July) last years record rain has raised a super sensitive reaction to me and bud rot… not necessarily cat related, just plain wet rot. I’m trying to look at a balance… I got (4) ladies that I think would benefit maybe another couple weeks, but I’m pulling (2) tomorrow or Friday and another (2) by 10/6… (weather permitting) Bud rot is creeping and escalating into (3) of those (4) ladies… but on a high note, the other (3) Puna Diesels though stacking away, are playing late to the pre-retirement party but are still looking good! :D

Nah, I just grow them for their natural beauty alongside a plethora of my other annuals and perennials. The only way i’d consider that is if civilization broke down and such things became necessary for medicine or trade/sale.
Well, as somebody whose been shot, stabbed, several serious accidents and two life flights, I refuse to fall into the 'you can have as much morphine as you want for as long as you need' deal. Been there. Always looking for natural pain relief, as the years go by, it only gets worse, but I hear ya. The knowledge alone is worth it..
If I were to grow flowers, what type would you suggest for pod slicing/gathering?

Just dissolve into your urine and feces infested filth with opium at will. Seen it half strength with my mother.

@LunarMOG Hey sorry for not getting back to you sooner, as of today the Puna Diesel are holding up really well. No PM or mold to date. That’s the good news but they’re about 1-2 weeks behind my other ladies though they’re stacking up nicely. I just hope the weather holds out. The 10 day outlook seems like it’ll be relatively dry through October 6th here in N. Central MA with temps workable as well.View attachment 5204041View attachment 5204040
Poco, what area you in again with this no rot?

@PioneerValleyOG I’m in Athol… and let’s be clear, it’s just those (3) Puna Diesels (Big Island Genetics - Hawaii) that aren’t showing bud rot… yet, but again they are significantly behind the others in finishing too. I did just start seeing some PM on one of them yesterday though. With that said, 3 of the other 4 ladies not called Puna Diesel are slowly showing a few more of those dreaded bud rot spots daily and will be coming down in the short term.
