though I've been itching for this rain to stop so I can get on tying my outdoor gals up proper! plant bondage round 2 out of 4:hump:
IMG_0856.jpg
So thats what I did today, went trough and tied up every flopper and leaning tower, as well as re-anchoring the trellising from where the water laden colas pulled that shit down...
IMG_0859.jpg
I think that weathering outdoor plants is crucial to the finishing and development of true strain representation!
IMG_0860.jpg
IMG_0861.jpg
Yeah they're flopping cause they're packing on the weight!
IMG_0862.jpg
So fucking dank!
All came through the storm healthy with very minimal damage for the shit weather they soldiered through!
IMG_0863.jpg
I knew they'd be ok...
Ever seen coastal mendo fog roll in and botrytis out 5lb monsters in 48hrs and you can shuck the bud of the slimy stem?!
We are blessed...
IMG_0864.jpg
Side garden probably going to mid oct...
IMG_0865.jpg
I think every grower needs a side garden, oh an an indoor garden too;-)
IMG_0866.jpg
the blue dream and casey jones really gave it their all in that last sativa stretch in aug!
IMG_0867.jpg
Now they're filling in those beautiful sativa bracts with frosty sticky dankness...

Thanks to all those sending love and support to those effected by the weather here in CO, we probably would've been much worse off without Jah's Blessings, may we show our gratitude and return Jah favor to y'all!bongsmilie

This is actually my first grow outside too but i have had a couple crops inside before. It's funny how outside you really do have to work with nature. if you try to be as picky as i tend to be inside with my plants as usually they are perfect on every leaf but outside you could spend hours trying to fix everything outside and honestly it appears to go better if you just let nature take its course and provide a little beneficial help to the ladies =). Highertimes you're getting it!
Indoor or out I always use preventative measures in feeding and maintenance of each strain I'm working with.
This enables you to always be a step ahead of your garden and achieve the results of an experienced grower.

Also THIS... was my FIRST. CO. OUTDOOR grow. back in 08!
this was AFTER, spending a few years working with the big time med grows in CA...

Pretty good for my first outdoor I'd say.

Not that this needs to be a dick measuring contest...
HAR 076.jpg
Again I just simply HELP MOTHER NATURE and let the growing cycle take it's course...

Stay safe everyone!

A little update from last nights rain.
The greenhouse did just fine, stayed dry and is getting a mega bloom feeding today...
IMG_0999.jpgIMG_1001.jpgIMG_1002.jpg
The side garden was out in it but dried out quickly with this jet stream like wind. My garden is covered on 3 sides and I still had to hang wind blocker tarps.
IMG_1003.jpgIMG_1004.jpg
Now for some actual bud shots to this thread!!!

Today I woke up soaked (man I love wool blankets), to a misting rain that lasted most of the am then subsided just long enough to rig up the tarp I should've had up last night. So it goes... The greenhouse is doing well staying dry just got the final PK feed, now for an all out sugar flush...
View attachment 2838748
The side garden BEFORE I was able to cover it... Def had to shake 'em down

After with the tarp...

I've been feeding with a mega amount of silica for the entire flowering, with the last few feedings being 1500ml+/55gal h2o+all other nutrients. I know this to be a necessary additive to any outdoor gardens going late into the season. I've witnessed a backyard grower keep an outdoor plant alive into december just by feeding mega amounts of silica, it had survived over a month of freezing temperatures!
The only disadvantage in doing this is that silica raises your ph considerably, but that is easily remedied with out using chemical ph down. I use Earth Juice Catalyst as a natural ph down. We'll see after tonight it is suppose to be warm for a solid few wks.... fingers crossed.... blood sacrifices spilt...
Good growing and happy harvests when we get there!

how many cups of citric acid (ej down) are you using for 1500ml ?? i am using 500ml per 55 gal drum and it takes 2 cups of down to get back to 6.5. i only adjust ph every other watering too as my base nutes trend tward acidic . your side garden is looking nice . glad life is going well for ya . after those cold nights out here running my heater in my carport greenhouse each night is imperative. looks like the 4th, 5th then 8th are gonna be 20* or so out here :( mang thats chilly.... ill be praying for all of us to bring this season to a close safely. Jah bless

Yeah I just picked up a mister heat propane heater for the outdoor girls knowing the temps are about to drop for a night or two each wk. Other than that though the days are suppose to be warm and sunny, fingers crossed.
Also usually because I've been using ph buffered nutrients my ph is really low at the high app rate like 4.6ph so I add the silica to bring it back up. About 1000ml silica to go from ph4.6 to ph 5.9-6.2 in 55gal h2o with my ppm around 1200...

First I'd like to thank my newest favorite caregiver collective for providing me with some top notch edibles!
Have been spending way too much $$ on edipures and the like while getting roughly 500mg for $20. Now I can spend $7 and get 400mg that's actually extracted from MATURE trim and smalls!!! With any luck I'll be able to start eating less mg thc / day for relief!
Thank you newest favorite caregiver collective!

Hey DrGreenthumb333 you're too kind! The last few nights have been dropping down to 30ish so I've been sleeping inside cuddling my dog...
Tonight is suppose to snow/ rain on and off throughout the night so I will be burning propane and running the greenhouse heaters.
We'll see how everything holds up what with the expected 1in snow here in Boulder County.

Hey JoObJoOb thanks for sharing your cool story! If only we all could walk out and find a mantis and relocate them to our beautiful veggie patch... I'm jealous!

Yo 420rhino nice first grow! Look into super cropping training techniques and get some bloom nutrients for next year and I guarantee you'll see bigger better stronger meds!

An Raeofsun13~ Thank you for stopping by ;) Harvest is moving along well hopefully we weather tonights 26' lows and snow and such ok, I'm diligent so I'll be making the girls hot coco and providing warm towels for the ultimate comfort experience bongsmilie. I'm glad you have found some of my postings helpful as that's my intention in sharing knowledge and debunking common cannabis misinformation.

Now for some OD harvest shots!
