I'm going to ask you this, what kind of soil are you using? If it's a thick soil check your drainage if you're soil isn't draining mix perlite and verm in it you want nice airated soil if it's heavy. Also if you are using a soil that's not organic and PURELY organic you could be lacking nutes...
