10s! Wow, that seems kind of high. I think city water is usually around 7.0, which is what mine is. Again, test your mixed water AFTER adding nutrients, as nutrients will effect the pH. Some make it go up, and others make the pH go down. I've had both, even from the same manufacturer, but...

Which would produce more DO in a DWC?

Nah, not at all. I was worried I came off that way LOL!

    JB's Killer, No-Chiller Eperiment

I still want to make use of the cool air the fan brings into the room. I added a short piece of duct that directs the air towards the plants as opposed to having the air blow straight up towards the ceiling.

You're going to want to use your light to heat up the grow tent. During veg, I like low to mid 80s, then during flower I'll drop it down to high 70s.

Which would produce more DO in a DWC?

I'm having a little trouble believing you can't hear your pump outside the tent.

    Tent Intake/Exhaust question

Looks like you've got room enough to hang one horizontally, at the top, behind the hood. That's generally where they're mounted. Even in a state where it's legal, the smell can really overwhelm your house. Having the filter outside of the tent probably won't work very well, unless the room...

Which would produce more DO in a DWC?

Since I'm only using the hps temporarily, until I get my QBs, I'm no longer drawing air for the hood from underneath the house. In this setup, what I like to do is add a short length of flexible duct to the intake. I then loop it so the opening is drawing air from right under the hood. This...

Which would produce more DO in a DWC?

Since I rebuilt my room, I had to find a new home for my 70lpm commercial air pump. This is how I keep that loud beast silent. I swear I can only really hear it when I open the door. Even then, the pump isn't any louder than the fans.

Dwc chiller to keep temps down

The room is around 82, and the water's sitting cool at 66. I keep the fan going after lights out, when my house drops to 64 degrees, so it cools it down quite a bit.

    Tent Intake/Exhaust question

If your hood is too big, you can run into cooling issues, as the air might be constricted from making it to one of the top ports, where you should be exhausting the air.

    Tent Intake/Exhaust question

Because you want to contain the odors to your tent, and have fresh, filtered air exiting the tent. Inside the tent is where you should have it. It should be mounted as high as possible. How much room is your hood taking up, to where you don't have any space left. Post some pics and let's see...

Just get yourself some real pH up and down. They're cheap, and then you aren't having to guess how well baking soda and vinegar are working. Right tool for the right job, ya know :)

    Tent Intake/Exhaust question

Just noticed this. You should hang you carbon filter INSIDE the tent, even if the fan is outside,.
