    Best tips/advice for outdoor mammoths?

Plants directly in the ground aren't limited by the roots in a set container. Because the roots can grow as much as they want, so will the plant. Grow sativa dominant strains. Super Silver Haze will grow 25 foot tall trees, while indica grow like bushes.

    Soil or hydro

People weren't meant to step foot on the moon, or swim far beneath the waves on temporary oxygen, but we got around that. All the energy plants would normally put towards finding nutrients and water in soil, is put into growth, in hydro, since water and nutes are being directly supplied to the...

    Soil or hydro

Definitely soil, if you don't have lots of time to learn hydro, before you get started. For absolute ease, your local hydro shop should have bags of soil you can grow right out of. Otherwise, get yourself some fabric pots, and some decent soil, such as Root Organics, Fox Farms' Happy Frog, or...

Just make sure you're controlling the external light. If you have any light leaks, the plants will have all sorts of issues, including possibly turning into hermaphrodites. Your plants need Total darkness during lights out.

No, no, no...you need temps in the 80's DURING LIGHTS ON. With the lights out, you should be within 15 degrees of the daytime temps. Shoot for 80 during lights on, and 65 degrees with the lights out. 80's during lights out is way too warm.

If you haven't done so already, you should insulate your grow space. If it's just a shell, you might want to build an outer shell, and insulate the gap.

I don't think there's a difference in temperature favorability between indicas and sativa's.

No harm in trying stuff out, but yeah, the aquarium heater wouldn't have any impact. How warm are you able to get your tent temps using just the light, during the day? Shoot for 75 to 80. It's okay to run your exhaust fan super slow, or even on a 15 minute incremental timer, if that's what it...

Why this difference in branch development?

It looks like you've got light spots developing on the leaves. That could be spider mites. Have you checked under you leaves with a hand-held microscope?

What's the aquarium heater for? You want to avoid leaving your lights on out of schedule.
