Water curing doesn't remove all the smell, if it's some especially fruity smelling stuff it will really really diminish it, but you'll still get some of the smell and taste. Why not water cure a small amount and air cure the rest? Then you'll know whether or not you like it.

T12 lights aren't as efficient as CFLs, they typically produce about 30 lumens per watt where CFLs can easily produce over 60 lumens per watt, you might want to add a few more CFLs, if you pick up the fixtures at the Salvation Army or Goodwill or a Thrift store you can get them for $1 a piece...

Buy a locking filing cabinet, easy to add fans to the back where nobody can see them and very easy to light proof. Nobody worries much or thinks a filing cabinet out of place, and although they're fairly easy locks to pick most people don't have the motivation to open a boring filing cabinet.

Sounds good man, only thing I'd add is an inlet fan at the bottom of the box. 3,000 lumens / sq ft is a general rule for CFL lighting.

So 1 foot 9 inches from the bottom of the growing space to the top, so 21 inches, it's definitely doable as a ScrOG and only one plant or maybe two (it'll be hard to get to the growth near the back), you can small rubbermaid like container that is only 6" high but much wider than most pots...
