Is it bud rot? Mold? Stress?

hahaha psychedilud I appreciate yer concern but you can't expect much help without a photo. brown, rotten material usually stands out as something that needs to be removed, usually a few inched below the infected site. if the rot continues down the stem every time you take the bad part off, I'd...

Flowering problem with a certain variety

yeah man love to see some pickys of those trees! did you think that landrace sativas had a chance in yer climate?! I don't blame you for trying though, sometimes plants can be fun to grow even if they don't turn out anything at all. you don't have to cut them all the way down, you could just...

    2013 Colorado Outdoor Med Garden!!!!

hey garlic T thx for explaining the diff between fungal v bacterial feedings - I find this info enormously helpful and I imagine many others do to. next summer I will try the teas for sure - I would be this year but economic factors have been limiting... anyway I do have another question if you...

    2013 Colorado Outdoor Med Garden!!!!

thx gtrain for yer prompt and articulate answer. to be clear I read (somewhere on RIU I think) about somebody who nuked a plant with not mykos from xtreme gardening, but something they called mycos tea - something they applied weekly - it was my understanding that it was their allegation that...

    2013 Colorado Outdoor Med Garden!!!!

garlictrain avalanching information on us from the rocky mountains! damn dude, sounds like you have yer program dialed in pretty tight. just curious, I didn't see it if you mentioned it, but how often do you re-inoculate? I always add mykos when I transplant but haven't added any since spring...

When Does the Flowering Season Officially Begin for a Plant That's Forced to Flower?

I agree with g boss that the first day you start is day one - you will find that the outdoor, light depped schedule (in mid summer) will mature yer plants at the same rate as they would inside, and that the same strain, unforced, will naturally flower slower by a week or two

    Growing Growing Growing

hell yeah! can't wait to see yer show next year when you hit the ground running! next year I'm going for a jan start instead of a feb start. If it didn't push me over my limits on numbers, I'd probably get next year's started now!

    Legal??

in most places, for outdoor grows it is more about plant count than square footage.

    The Sex Talk Thread

baby was asleep and you got denied? unacceptable! I would lose serious bj points with my wife if I said no. I rub my wife's feet every single day, and never have to ask for anything - guys rub yer wife's feet daily!

    No flush - white ash.

just to bring it back - jumpyone I'll stick my neck out here and agree with you about flushing - I believe in it too, I am a hippy after all. however, if you think there's not an appreciable difference in flavor in hydro and soil then I think you don't smoke enough. how much do you smoke? I...

    Clones vs. Seeds

I want to like clones more, and sometimes I do... but dammit how many times have I taken clones home from the club that have pm, fungus gnats, (mites virtually guaranteed), and infuriatingly - mislabeled. and unless you know your source, you don't know how old that plant is and what shape its...

    No flush - white ash.

simplicity and laziness ought not to be confused. to the newbie, there is so much information available -sometimes contradictory- it's overwhelming. having a mix that you only need to water isn't necessarily lazy, it's smart practice for some people. and not everybody starting out can afford all...

    Open Show & Tell , Outdoors 2013

hey everybody - finally starting to see first signs of flowering and top-dressed with some guano this morning. pretty happy with my grow this year (except the tangerine nightmare!) - feel like it's been fairly efficient - I've spent about $350 per plant so far. hope to only spend another $50 for...

    training into flowering

they call it LST - low stress training. if it could be considered a stress to train yer branches, at least it isn't much - its not like topping it during flowering. go for it!
