Thanks for explaining that I have learned so much in the past month, it's been a whirlwind. I plan on going with strips because those seem to be cheaper, require less heatsink and there is no way I would ever be able to afford the QBs.
Ok I will just leave it alone then. I thought cobs were supposed to be good, but not as good as strips or cmh? This isn't a permanent deal anyway, it's just to get me through this grow until I get all the parts to build strips.
I have been trying to figure out what I was going to do to supplement my KingLED 1200 watt light. I was and still am going to go the DIY route, but I will not have it ready in time. So I ran across this light on ebay...
Hello everyone I never formally introduced myself, just went straight to posting, and I figured that was kinda rude so here I am.
This is something I have wanted to do my whole life, but never really had the balls, because it just wasn't worth the risk and zips were only $50.
Fast forward to...
I have since gave up on this build as for what it will cost to get the heatsink, I could throw a few extra dollars in and get a prebuilt light with the cobs I was going to use anyway. This is still not, however, a permanent solution. I like the lumens per watt you can get with the samsung strips...
I already have a dehumidifier, I was asking about a humidifier. But since we're on the subject I got the 50 pint Danby dehumidifier model off Amazon, had pretty rock solid reviews, and seems well built. Is that too big? Most people I seen said get one to remove what you put in.
My plants are about 2 weeks into veg and I was maybe looking at getting a humidifier as my RH stays pretty solid at 45-50ish percent, and I read that plants in veg should have at least 65% RH. With all that being said, would you recommend get one or no? and if so, which one would you recommend...
How did it go? I am a newish grower myself, so that means I can't give much advice, but it looks to me like it is trying to reach for a light source that is away and to the side of it. Put the light directly over it and it should straighten up.
Like any tool, you have to know how to use it. Look at the BlueLab Combo Meter Plus, does PH in soil and water, Tds, EC, pretty much just about everything, except for photon, will need a separate meter for that
I am looking to build a cheap cob setup with parts I can get off ebay, until I can afford to take the plunge on a good setup. I am doing this because I was told this 1200 watt Kingled would not be enough when my plants are ready to flower, and I want them to have as much light as they will need...
I'm from Norman doing my first ever grow too. A little complicated than I thought it would be at first, but I think I can grow some dank, we will see...
Thanks everyone, when I get home I will post pictures of my setup.
I have it hooked to a homemade piece of 2 x 8 that I cut a hole and screwed a 6" take-off w/ damper to that is sitting in the window The heat is exhausted back outside. Will update the thread with pics when I get home.
