My LED project... And ll its questions

Hi all the good folk of RIU.

Might as well create a thread to keep all my current and comming questions :)
So i started shopping for my build, so far i've bought or ordered:

10 x 4' LED MOD FSERIES GEN3 3000K STRIP (single row)

2 x HLG 320H 48B

Thermal tape from Ebay

All the rest of my shopping will be done soon.

Questions:
Will 10 of these strips be too much in a 3x4 tent. Im thinking i will keep the light a little higher over the canopy than normal, as the grow will be unnattended for a week, somtimes 2 weeks. So maybe i need all the strips too counter for this.

Will 20mm x 20mm Aluminium U-profiles be good enough for heatsinks?

More questions will probably come.
Thank you :)

Thats the wrong drivers for those strips. Those are 24V strips. Only the double rows are 48V. If you toss two more strips into it, for a total of twelve strips, then you can make those drivers work by putting pairs of strips in series.

Not too many strips (for a 3x4), but its too much power, IMO. I would use suggest two HLG-240H-24 drivers instead and run the strips at a little lower wattage.

Yes, the 20x20 aluminum channel will work. You might also consider the .601 profile from heatsink USA. Its perfect for the single row F-series and pretty affordable at about a dollar per foot.

You must be thinking of something else, the single row 44" are also 46V. I would go with two HLG-240H-48 or one HLG-480H-48. 10 is not to many strips. More strips run at lower power is more efficient and gives better light spread.

You're right - my mistake. I coulda swore the 44" were 24V in the single row.

I got 2 320's in case i ever wanted to expand. I guess i could run 7 or 8 of those strips on a 320. And if i run 5 on each driver in the start, ill just dim down?

Was looking at getting cobs, but it's a headache and these seem to run cooler. How many of these strips do you think I would need for a 5 x 5?

Everybody told me 10 strips on 2 HLG 320 driver would be overkill in 3x4. But im blasting full power and plants are loving it, no lightburn at all.

So if it was me building for 5x5, i would prolly try to jam 16 strips in there on 2pcs 480 or 600 drivers. Would be mental! :)

NB: This is coming from a noob, so research a little extra before going shopping!
