Grow journal - Outdoors 2024 - Frisian Dew, Frisian Duck, Sweet Tooth Auto, Early Skunk

Frisian Ducks are still unhappy. I've tried upping the feed but they don't seem to be responding. It's odd. Oh yeah Scotland, my bad. That's even worse yeah!

I never envied the British weather that's for sure!

Grow journal - Outdoors 2024 - Frisian Dew, Frisian Duck, Sweet Tooth Auto, Early Skunk

Nothing to speak of here, have had a very decent summer with minimal rain. Lots of wind though, but with all the bricks on the pots it's not even an issue. Wondering if I should be getting some bamboo sticks for late in flowering though. The Sweet Tooth Auto hasn't had anything bend or break...

I assume the Sweet Tooth will be on par with the other Sweet Tooth, that I sampled a few times :weed: Just not expecting a very big yield! I haven't noticed anything large snacking on my plants yet. The biggest have been slugs, but we have a lot of hedgehogs that I think eat the slugs, not my...

Grow journal - Outdoors 2024 - Frisian Dew, Frisian Duck, Sweet Tooth Auto, Early Skunk

Just a quick general update. The Early skunk in the ground is doing decently, all the Frisian Ducks, including the one in the ground, are hating their existence. Frisian Dew is stretching and looking happy. Sweet Tooth Auto isn't looking happy if you judge by the leaves, but if you judge by...

Two questions. How long to harvest and is this foxtailing?

It's exactly 97 days old today (Planted it on the 6th of May) so it's almost 14 weeks old. According to the seed bank I bought it from, "Harvest time from seed: 60-65 days" - So I think your estimates are more accurate. No idea where they got 60-65 days from. Perhaps that's the flowering time.

Two questions. How long to harvest and is this foxtailing?

I will be patient, thanks as always. I was more worried about the top, but I'm glad it's not a concern.

Two questions. How long to harvest and is this foxtailing?

Thanks for the input! And 3-4 weeks, damn. This thing has been flowering for a long time. I'm going to harvest at 20-30% amber, I'd be surprised if it takes 3-4 more weeks to reach that point, when I'm already seeing amber, but maybe you're right! I have no idea :weed:

Two questions. How long to harvest and is this foxtailing?

Just thought I'd get some opinions or insight. I'm not familiar with whats happening at the top of the main cola. It's a Sweet Tooth Auto, being grown outdoors. All trichomes are cloudy but some have started turning amber.

Happy Sunday :) Next year I'm getting one of those microscopes too, to take photos with as well. I know you can get some Bluetooth variants that are portable. That would be very nice for outdoor growing. I have no idea if it's actually foxtailing or not, that's just the first word that...

@SouthFloridaGenetics sorry to keep tagging you. But 2 things. I'm starting to see amber trichomes and I'm seeing some weird pistils coming up the top of the bud, you should be able to see it in the picture. Is this foxtailing or something else bad?

Thanks man, I cut two smaller buds over the last few weeks and it's a great smoke and smell/taste :weed: I'm sure it will be even better when it has matured enough.

Sweet Tooth Auto getting closer. Hope I can harvest next week. It's weird because it has had cloudy trichomes for about a month now. I thought normally it took around two weeks from cloudy to amber.

Biden's lame duck presidency, what does the old guy have in his tank?

Sorry. It's just such a fitting saying. https://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Pigeon_chess down the same alley as, you can't reason someone out of a position they didn't reason themselves into, etc.

There's no point man. You're playing chess with a pigeon. :p

    Unhappy Frisian Ducks

I had not considered it to be honest. Perhaps it's as simple as that. I'll add some top dress to those two and see how they do. (On top of the regular liquid fertilizer) My mind was looking at more complex issues, like PH or cal-mag deficiency/excess etc. Thanks for the idea.

    Unhappy Frisian Ducks

I've asked this before but it seems like a persistent issue and I have no idea how to solve it. Both my Frisian Ducks are looking like shit. Compared to my other plants they just seem to be suffering. They're in the same soil, same location, and given the same nutrients. Every week I can...

The side-project, Sweet Tooth Auto, bonsai, is doing fine, flowering at the moment. I don't care about this one too much, so it's a good chance to practice LST and remove leaves etc and see how an auto handles it. (And see how big of a plant I can get in such a small container) Ironically...

It's not much worth updating but here's the Sweet Tooth Auto and Frisian Dew. @SouthFloridaGenetics how is the Sweet Tooth looking? Are we getting close? I'm impatient as hell lol. I checked it yesterday and haven't seen any amber trichomes yet. So I guess I answered my own question.

Grow journal - Outdoors 2024 - Frisian Dew, Frisian Duck, Sweet Tooth Auto, Early Skunk

Gotcha. I have a shit-ton of wind, every day. So I hope that helps. And all the strains are mould-resistant (Allegedly) - I've also defoliated the frisian dew, and will do so again in a week or two during flowering. Remove the bottom 1/3, hope that allows some decent airflow and no pockets for...
