Peat moss can sometimes repel water and not absorb it evenly. Forgot the word for that. A little wetting agent of some kind helps it hydrate evenly, as I am informed.

Def needs a wetting agent; I'm using the BAS Quillaja or whatever he calls it. Seems to work very well. Trying to stay as organic as I can. :weed:

I'm still using it a a base for my organic mix, which has been re-amended & recycled 3 times now. This time I bought the Premier straight peat moss and will aerate it with pumice as a base. I'd like to get away from perlite.
