As a recent victim of attack during flower , I prevailed by ditching the source immediately, and using some tenacious IPM and appropriate measures of a washable nature, such as citric acid and other non-toxic means. Then I bombed the space from orbit. It’s the only way to be sure.
My Mammoth light has finally shipped and should be here Monday. Of course, the run I needed it for is finished, and I probably won't use it until fall.
I’m really stoked with the looks, aroma, sturdiness, and yield of your BOO S2s, brah. Can’t wait till nugs are cured and trim washed, and sample a fat joint! Many thanks for the beans - they are primo in my book.. I think Useful would give you the Jeremiah Johnson nod-of-approval. :weed:
They were on a few fan leaves.. no visible webs except on leaf serrations under microscope. I trimmed and trashed all the fans before the wash. I’ll be scrubbing, repainting, and sterilizing the space before I start again.
Went to check ripeness, and .. wait .. could it be .. ? Oh fuck, dang ol’ mites starting to reproduce again. So I immediately chopped, and did a quick peroxide wash and rinse, then hung branches up to drip dry. Buds smell like someone spilled some fuel on a bag of oranges. I learned a hard...
BOO S2 day 50 since flip. Smells more fuel-ly than orange-y. Had a brief encounter with mites that infested that orphan plant I foolishly took in. All clear now after trashing the orphan and taking appropriate measures. No trellis needed on these, the stems are sturdy. Buds are fattening up...
Thanks, but I'm sticking with the citric acid solution with 2-3 weeks to go. Seems to have worked. I'm about to do a follow-up spray. Not sure how you could rinse off an oil..
I'll use an H2O2 solution to rinse branches off before hanging to dry, but normally I don't need to, since I never...
I knew better, and broke a cardinal rule anyway, because I was greedy. I was originally just growing a single fem by itself in my small personal space (Useful BOO S2 from @MIRedBuds on right), but I took an "extra" fem (on left) from a friend because he had started too many. I flipped shortly...
Carbon adsorbs, not absorbs, and to get it to the temp to re-activate would require a temperature of 450C or 842F. Not happening without a special oven.
I'm going to have to try refilling once. I've got two spent 6"x24s (soon to be three) I hate to throw out. Guess I need to shop around for some carbon. Can I recycle the old carbon, I wonder?
I've tried Can, Phresh, and Kootenay. Kootenay lasted the longest and is still working. The Phresh didn't make it thru a single cycle; anyway they seem to be unavailable in US now. I got it from Amazon, and suspect it may have been a knock-off.
Boo S2 on right at day 33F. Lemon Diesel Magoo freebie orphan on left. Starting to get some frost and aroma. LDM looks to be a faster finisher, but we shall see. Extremely bushy, had to defoliate heavily twice already.
