Grove vs Mylar. How much better are actual Grove Bags

True. But what I do is I get several of the 1-ounce size and then I weigh out an ounce (or so) in each one, heat seal them all. and then store them in a cool, dark place. I break open an ounce, as needed, and then I fill my little glass jar with the buds from that ounce, that I will be smoking...

Grove vs Mylar. How much better are actual Grove Bags

You MUST be able to heat-seal the Grove bags in order to get the most out of what they do. I love them!

    Are 'nanner-made seeds bad?

I grew some Chemdozer a few years ago. I found a seed in one of the buds. I kept it and grew it out. It grew even better and the smoke was as good as the original. At this point, I've had several different strains do the same thing.....one or two good seeds in a random bud....obviously made from...

So light leaks cause hermies eh ?

I tend to think that almost ALL genetics, these days, have the potential to throw 'nanners, but I rarely see true hermaphrodite plants. I have had one or two over the years, though. So, let's define our terms.....Are we talking about light leaks that cause plants to throw a few 'nans in late...

    Your peppers please!

It's always dicey to try and grow peppers for me. They get going, then it cools down right when fruits start to set and everything slows way down. I get some vine-ripe ones, but I typically have to pick them at first blush and then let then ripen off the vine. That's why I tend to grow things...

Small tent growers: Yield? or Variety?

3 X 3 tent 2 new (to me) strains -regular, photoperiod seeds I'm popping 3 seeds of each strain in order to up the % that I will get at least 1 female plant out of 6. I know it's likely that I will at least 1, but you know how Murphy's Law works. If I end up with all 6 being females, then I'm...

Do you live in an area that is known for a certain strain? Photoperiod only, please*

Appreciate the responses. Yeah, I don't have any local names to share, myself. I am from a very rural area and there weren't enough people growing to build any fame around anything. Most of what we got was imported from Mexico and points South.

Do you live in an area that is known for a certain strain? Photoperiod only, please*

Obviously, if you live in Hawaii or someplace like that, you're going to see some "local" strains....but what about other "state" strains? I know of Meig's County Gold and Colorado Green Bud (only read about it). Wondering if there are any others out there with an original tilt. *I'm not...

Do you have a secret ingredient?

Super Thrive! -just kidding. Lately, I've been using bagged soil mixes that I add perlite, vermiculite, coco coire, dolomite lime, worm castings, rice hulls and bio-char. I don't know that any of it makes a big difference, but it makes ME feel like I'm doing something!

    Why is Haze called Haze?

Well I DO remember that "sinsemilla" is a Spanish word that means "without seeds". :) I always pronounced it as sin-seh MEE yah...not absolutely sure that's correct though! :)

    Why is Haze called Haze?

Yeah, I've only heard these stories about "haze" and "kush" decades later. No one called weed by those names back then, as far as I know. I used to hang around a lot of potheads, too. Once High Times magazine started being sold in the record stores, people started expanding their knowledge quite...

Mammoth mint white emerald green 880w

In fact, I have an Updayday light that does it, too. It's incredibly fun to have the option of multiple spectrums available. I just wish mine was made with higher quality parts....but, for a 500 watt light, multiple spectrums and everything else, it was definitely worth it for....FREE!

    Light Proofing Door Ideas

I took a cardboard box that was long enough to cover the span of the door, cut a slot lengthwise along the lower edge of the box that corresponds to the space under the door, and I ran my 6" flexible exhaust duct into a hole that I cut into the top of the box to accommodate the duct... I...

WTF causes leaves to look like this? Fungal infection??

You could try a slurry test to see what the soil pH is. That's what I did when I had a plant displaying similar issues. Turned out the pH was in the 4.0 range! -very acidic! I corrected the incoming water to be a bit higher-than-normal (~8.5) and did many more slurry tests and runoff tests until...

    Archive Seed Bank

THC level is very misleading as far as "high". I bought some pure THC distillate to make some gummy bears once. I decided to try a dab of it. It tasted like some kind of lubricating oil and gave me a real uncomfortable feeling. The old days are gone. The old weed is gone. It was bred out of...
