    Just planted

Is it necessary to still have light over the pots with plastic wrap over them or can I wait until the seeds sprout to add light?

    First organic grow

I can get the worm castings delivered directly to my door step..don't you think that would be better than waiting for the manure which has probably been frozen all winter to thaw inside? Or am I mistaking?

    First organic grow

Yeah I was going to get composite for my soil but all that shit is hard as a rock living here. So since I don't have the worm castings right now would it be better to just wait until after I put the plant in the soil to add them or add them ASAP?

    First organic grow

I have my soil cooking currently as my plants aren't anywhere near ready to be transferred. I have it in 2 gallon pots. The pots arent filled completely but I'm starting to second guess the pot size so I was wondering if transferring the soil mixture to another pot would in anyway jeopardize the...

    Just planted

I just planted new seeds. Due to my repeated failures I decided (first time grower) I decided to soak the seeds a couple hours and plant them directly in the soil to germinate. The soil is currently nice and moist (not too wet). I really don't want to fail again so what are some good ways for me...

    first time grower needs help

so in between waterings should the soil ever get completely dry? I watered my plant earlier today (day 3 in soil) Im afraid I may have underwatered because the soil is completely dry now even when i put my finger down in the soil.

What about for a seedling bigsteve? Obviously I wouldn't water it that much but does that same method work early in the plant life?

    can she live?

I am still a bit confused about how to tell whether or not I have overwatered or underwatered. What should I be looking for in the future while on the road to recovery? Also would it be bad for me to surround her with some peat moss? This is my first grow and it seems like the peat moss holds...

This is a picture of the seedling I am trying to save as I overwatered. I did not water it yesterday. It is on the 6th day and appears to be trying to hang in there. does it look like it needs water or should i wait more time? What do you think?:leaf:

    First organic grow

Well what I should have said was they had composite but it's like 20 F degrees outside and it's all frozen over..that's why I need an alternative. Thanks you've been a big help.

    First organic grow

Of course I go to the store and they don't have any composite. Even though I do not prefer it..would getting a premixed organic soil and adding organic ingredients work? And what would you say a good mixture would be?

    First organic grow

Is there something else you would recommend as an alternative to the worm castings? I plan on making my soil tomorrow but I would have to order them online so they wouldn't be here in time for me to let the mixture cook before I have to transplant.

    Help..first grow

I just started off with just a basic commercial organic potting mix. I have it under 4 54 watt t5 panel light. Ive been watering every other day and misting in between to keep the soil moist. I watered it a little bit now instead of waiting until tomorrow and it seems like she is doing okay for...
