I have a seedling that has been sprouting for 4 days now..it was doing well...but I just went to look and discovered that the seedling looks like it is failing..it was sprouting up and now the sprout looks like it might be starting to die..what should I do to save it?

Does germinating the seeds in paper towel longer help the root? Say for example, if my seeds show root when I check on them after 2 days would letting it sit for another 2 days be beneficial or does it really not matter?
