    A51 RW-150 Headband Grow!

Awesome grow, man! I just got an RW-75 myself for my little box. Can't wait to get it rockin! Do you have experience with any other LED panels? If so, how would these compare? I love Area 51 as a company and from everything I've read.. they are very transparent and have great warranty as well...

Hah, I suppose that's a bit ghetto - I do have a legit panel for flowering, though! I think eventually I will get a panel for veg also. I think veg is a bit easier, though, so I'm glad I got a pretty good panel for my flower chamber at least. Hopefully this new setup will outperform my 150w HPS...

Ohhh snap, thanks for the heads up! Floodlight covers stay on, bulb covers come off with reflectors, unless you guys think taking the round bulbs off is a bad idea as well? I see that's what most people are doing, though. Would a cut soda can be too ghetto of a reflector? I feel like it would be...

Oh, phew, for a minute I thought you meant put the flowering chamber in the 2foot space! The partition in there that separates flower and veg is actually a shelf that is built into the box (it's a Sterilite cabinet from Walmart with adjusting shelves) - it holds a lot of weight, but good idea, I...

Holy crap thanks so much. So basically, go with my gut and just get the Cree floods for flower and round bulbs for veg. Do you guys always take your panels/glass/whatever off the bulbs? Even the floodlights? And yeah, I am a bit concerned about my veg height. I DO have the option of increasing...

Hey guys, So I've got a 6' box that I'm in the process of turning into a perpetual scrog or sog (not sure which route yet) Flower chamber is 4' high x 2' x 1.5' Mother/clone/veg chamber is just 2' high x 2' x 1.5' Right now I have an Area 51 RW-75 in the flower chamber. I had planned on...

    Flowering with Cree bulbs

Hey guys, great info here! I am still trying to figure out the best way to go about using these Cree bulbs. My setup: Flower chamber is 4' high x 2' x 1.5' - I have an Area 51 RW-75 in there now and was thinking about getting 4x 18w Cree floodlights (3000k) for supplemental lighting but am...

Please tell me this isn't mold on my smart pot

Thanks everyone. I sprayed it with hydrogen peroxide just to be safe, there was no bubbling or anything, and by what other people have said I'm completely convinced it's just salt deposits from the flush. Phew! I would have been so upset if I had to chop her down early!

Please tell me this isn't mold on my smart pot

Yeah I was thinking that or even diluted bleach to spray on the outside.. Someone else said that it was salt and that they had the same thing, but someone else said it looked like mold. I'm gonna keep an eye on it for now.. Its not in the plant or anything so thats good..

Please tell me this isn't mold on my smart pot

I just gave my plant her final flush, I've got like 1-2 weeks left of harvest. After the flush I noticed these white spots around the bottom of the smart pot. It seems to go all the way around, pretty much. Please tell me this isn't mold - is it just the salts from the final flush or something...

i took the PVC hood apart.. I think I might just buy a hood reflector and put it above the basic square frame... or MAYBE use soda cans as reflectors

Would there be any problems with this setup?

your exhaust should probably be on the opposite side of the intake. I think realistically, those blue arrows, there would be a little pocket of an air loop from the intake to exhaust, if that makes any sense. You should try to have one nice smooth flow of air, I think you could get much better...

Not too loud at all, really just some whooshing air. not as loud as my regular fan. I may replace the insulation with real acoustic boards, though. Maybe make some kind of muffler as well.. not much room at the top, though. Hmm

new PVC hood frame and fan vent: - still need to line with aluminum Might be too big, though. -- ok, totally revamped what I had goin. Managed to fit the ventilation up top, opening up a ton of footprint space for the Scrog. I went out and bought a nice circle cutter, and I cut my exhaust...

My Homemade Pos(piece o shit) Growbox. Is it a Fire Hazard?

carbon filter/scrubber, man - it will take care of the smell, especially in a small grow. P.S. you should aim for small plant, high yield ;) The way I got started was I first spent all my time researching how to make a really good, legit PC Grow box, I was going to get tower cases and...

quick sneak peak of the new CFL light fixture. Now holds 8 bulbs, there will be no side lighting.. just mylar and the scrog screen Still probably going to trim down the excess PVC to save some room. I wish I could do something about the ugly wires on the sides. Didn't have a chance to really...
