    PVC Tube for Bonsai Mother?

and the PVC tube seems like a simpler solution, I was just hoping someone else had tried this and could say if it was more of a hassle or not. I may just give it a go and see... won't really cost me anything, just the PVC tube

    PVC Tube for Bonsai Mother?

I have all my soil (some lovely living organic soil.. very excited!) and lights and everything, I'm just wondering what to do for my mother plant is all.

    PVC Tube for Bonsai Mother?

Yeah that is something else I thought of.. I just wasn't sure how much taking a clone right before sending to flower would halt growth or anything like that, and it would suck to accidentally screw up the clone and then have nothing, but I suppose I could take 2 clones, but that also impacts the...

    PVC Tube for Bonsai Mother?

Space is a huge issue.. And my box is small so I only need a small bonsai mother plant. Not for stealth, just easy on the wallet and I've already got my hands full getting my box up and running. I was reading on another forum apparently some dude does this with 6" PVC tubes for bonsai mums

    PVC Tube for Bonsai Mother?

This would be in addition to my grow box, perpetual scrog. So I would take one clone a month from this bonsai mother plant in the PVC tube, veg it then flower it in my actual grow box. This would be STRICTLY for maintaining a small mother plant, that's all.

    PVC Tube for Bonsai Mother?

This isn't for a full grow, jsut a bonsai mother plant that I take clones from.. very small, not a lot of growth... taking about 1 clone a month. Obviously a full grow in this thing would be stupid! PVC tube height isn't an issue, and I would be using a Cree LED light so heat also wouldn't be a...

    PVC Tube for Bonsai Mother?

I actually think I could find 12" PVC pipe sections - I bet that would work out much better than the 6". I may just give this a go, I don't see why it wouldn't work out if you have proper ventilation and lighting. Just not sure if it would be a pain in the ass to maintain or not when the plant...

    PVC Tube for Bonsai Mother?

And obviously some holes at the bottom for air flow. And the tube would be taller :P

    PVC Tube for Bonsai Mother?

Hmm maybe I am misunderstanding you, or you misunderstanding me, let me draw a quick diagram for what I mean.. Basically the PVC tube would be the grow "box" - 6" is pretty small, though.. but perhaps I could find larger tubes. Just seems very simple and easy :P Otherwise I think I'm just...

    PVC Tube for Bonsai Mother?

Hey guys, I read somewhere about one guy using 6" PVC tubes to keep mothers in. Basically you would cap the bottom, probably drill some holes in it for air flow, put a pc fan at the top with a CFL/LED bulb in there. Seems like a pretty simple and cheap solution. I was thinking about doing this...

UVA/UVB the real deal. A must read topic for all growers.

Hmmm.. any suggestions for a very small flower chamber at 4' high x 2' x 1.5'? Very interesting thread, thanks for all the info!

Invasion of Red and Blue LEDs: Humble Beginnings

And it's a huge deal what light you use. That's part of the problem of LEDs getting a bad rap.. people go out and buy cheap LEDs and they end up sucking, or they are misinformed about how much to use, etc, and then just chalk it up to "LEDs suck" - so this information is invaluable, and any...

    Area 51 re 51 help

yeah that's what I've been doin (pictured above) - I gotta find slightly bigger S-hooks, though, so I can eliminate those clips and get the unit a little higher... trying to get as much height as possible. My exhaust fan is the hole right above the RW-75's fan. I asked them about this setup...

    Area 51 re 51 help

I only used the clips.. my flower box is pretty small, though, so they won't be hanging too far down. I like to use metal grills from Home Depot so I can hook things on it and move them around easily:

    Flowering with Cree bulbs

Yeah I would really like to get into making my own LED panels and the like.. I have no experience with soldering or anything like that but I am willing to learn. I am very crafty and do a lot of DIY projects so I don't doubt I can do it.. just a matter of getting all the stuff and how...

    Flowering with Cree bulbs

Oh perfect, all 5000k it is then, if adding in some 2700k will give a little stretch. Perfect, then! My lights should be all set.. just gotta go get 8 Cree bulbs :P Do you know if there is a difference between the 9 watt bulbs and the 9.5 watt bulbs? Is one an older model or anything like that...

    Flowering with Cree bulbs

Awesome thanks for the info! I will just add 2700k to flower. I will try to hit 30w/sq ft. Probably just 2 of those 9 watters like you said (then I can hang them down right near the canopy). As for veg, Ideally I would like to grow them more compact as height is an issue. I will be scrogging...

    Flowering with Cree bulbs

Isn't 25w per sq foot the minimum? I didn't think you could have too much light? As long as heat is controlled, I don't think they would be getting more light than the sun would give them would they? Not trying to contradict you, just trying to understand. I figure more light = bigger buds. Is...
