My tap water is 0.05 EC - do I need calmag?

Hey guys, my tap water comes out as 0.05 ec which is about 25ppm. Should I be adding cal mag to it to make up for this? The reason why I ask is that I've been experiencing very slow growth atm and after reading another post on the forum, I'm beginning to wonder if it's my water not my setup as...

Did you plants do anything else out of the ordinary other than not grow? curling downwards leaves for example?

    seedling issues

well as long as the bubbles are breaking on the bottom of the netcups then it's not going to be overwatering. Are the leaves drooping at all? Thus it may well be the weak light intensity. how far away are the cfls?

    seedling issues

26ks are fine for the first week or so but after that you're gonna want stronger lighting. The water is 3-4inches from the bottom of the netpots and they are still dripping wet? Are you using a real dwc or a bubbleponics system? If it is overwatering then adjust the level of the water in dwc...

well all the conditions are optimum so it's probs something wrong with the system itself, like overwatering. What is the water level in the dwc? remember you want the bubbles breaking just below the netpots, so the mist is wicked up by the hydroton onto the rockwool

tmsculli this is a wicked post man you should reup the original pictures and add some more if you have any. not only does it display the advantages of bubbleponics over dwc but also provides a good reference for other users as to how well developed their plants should be at a given age. get on...

Anyone found any super plant tonic stockists in the UK?

Hey guys, i've heard so many good things about super plant tonic n really want to try it. However, i've googled extensively and can't find any uk shops, or even any shops that ship to the uk that stock it. Have any other uk growers found it anywhere? Thanks all!

Slow growth and drooping leaves in bubbleponic system

Thanks for that informative post petrol420 - aye I thought letting the rockwool dry out a bit was a good idea too, but other more experienced growers than me recommended to just leave the pump on, but with the manifold adjusted to allow only a trickle. If they dont recover and continue to grow...

Slow growth and drooping leaves in bubbleponic system

well they have always been growing, albeit very slowly - i can't see any difference between from when the water was at full blast compared to now when it is a trickle, the leaves are still droopy. but it has only been a day and i expect it'll take them a little longer to bounce back. fingers...

Slow growth and drooping leaves in bubbleponic system

Wicked thanks a lot guys - it turns out i can adjust the valves on my manifold to reduce water flow - so I have done that and it is much more of a trickle now, rather than blasting out like it was before. So hopefully this will solve the problem One last question though, should I turn off the...

Slow growth and drooping leaves in bubbleponic system

Yeah I was comparing my growth with yours roseman and yours is considerably more advanced =( - I am not feeding them anything, they are just recieving plain tap water. Dysotopia, unfortunately I can't adjust my manifold, though I actually might try connecting all four of the netcups to one...
