First HID grow, third grow ever.

400W seems like a lot of light for a 2x2 space. You'll have serious temperature problems. I think a 150 or 250W fixture would be a better match.

Micro grow to keep many strains?

That Mars Hydro fixture only throws out about 135W, which would only cover 1/3 to 1/2 of the space you have. Cut down your grow area so that you're only growing in a 2'x2' portion of the 3'x3' space, and you should be okay.

    Using Boveda on Overdried Bud

My understanding is that curing will happen as long as the stomata stay open to allow air exchange, and they will stay open as long as the RH stays above 40%. Since your buds only dropped down to 56% before you started pumping up the humidity, you should be fine.

    Hello, Dali! (Bodhi's Yunnan)

Update Day (a little late - forgot to hit the post button yesterday) ... We're now back to five plants. One of the 'non-viable' seeds decided to pop. It had come out of the soil but had stubbornly refused to make any move toward growing its leaves out of the seed case despite coaxing, but...

Does my baby plant need support?

    1. Use the advice of your fixture manufacturer for distance to the light for seedlings, vegetative plants, and flowering plants - each distance could be different. I'm guessing it's more like 24-30" distance for your seedlings. 2. That fixture is probably enough to flower a 3 sq. ft. area...

Problems In 5th Week of 12/12?

It could be a question of a different phenotype than what you've grown out before even if it's the same strain. For example, Pineapple Fields has four distinct phenotypes, only two of which have purpling in the leaves.

Is 1514 lumans LED light enough?

You can't get around the fact that you need a significant amount of light to flower cannabis. 14 Watts isn't going to cut it, unless you are growing a bonsai (or are just using it to veg a couple of seedlings).. Figure that you need between 20-50W per square foot of flowering space, depending on...

    Hello, Dali! (Bodhi's Yunnan)

OK another week has gone by and the babies are starting to grow up. All four of the remaining plants are doing well (one of the five that popped failed to thrive). They are forming their second set of true leaves. They are a little bit stretchy (not surprising given that they're a sativa), and...

    Seedlings not growing please help

In the world of homebrewing beer, there's a saying: "Relax, don't worry, have a homebrew." In the world of homegrowing, there should be a saying: "Relax, don't worry, have some cannabis." As Tyke wrote, the plant needs to build out its root structure. If it looks healthy, and you're doing what...

    BOG Seeds

I bought a set of BOG LSD seeds from thedankteam. I traded some of them with another grower (in exchange for Super Silver Haze). He reported to me that one of the seeds autoflowered and is growing purple. The photo he sent me is attached below. It would seem unlikely that this is actually an...

    Question abut curing

I agree with Purpleb3rry. In my experience, the Boveda packs do a great job of maintaining humidity level, a decent job of raising humidity levels from, say, 53% to 62%, and a poor job of dropping humidity levels, especially if above 65%. Hence, before dropping in the Boveda pack(s), first get...

    Flushing with pure R/O. H2O2?

Does a marathoner stop taking in nutrition for the last five miles? That's essentially what you're doing to your plant(s) when you flush. The key to good tasting and smelling herb is to properly dry and cure it before consumption.

when place seedlings under the light

Is that a 'real' 87W or the incandescent equivalent wattage? If it's a true 87W you have more than enough to veg with, and the idea of starting ~80cm away isn't bad. You should carefully watch for signs of too much stretch, though, and bring them closer if you see it. Since you don't really...

Will switching from hps to led stress my plants?

You picked yourself a high quality LED. You should see about the same amount of usable plant light as from 200W of HPS (rough estimate, as the HPS is approx. 40% efficiency and the new fixture is @ 50%). The naysayers that diss LEDs are usually thinking about the old-school 'blurple' LEDs that...

    Hello, Dali! (Bodhi's Yunnan)

It's time for the first update! Things have gotten off to a slow start...I screwed up a bit. I had company coming over last Thursday, and I needed to air out the house (I had just finished drying my last harvest, and it was particularly aromatic in here), so I opened up several doors and...

My first grow, how it looks ?

The point about not topping is that it is an autoflower plant. The autos are on their own schedule. You can't just delay flipping them to allow them extra time to bush out, like you can with a photoperiod. You will get significantly more yield if you just let them do their own thing.
