Does my baby plant need support?

So this Mexican Airlines by Fast Buds is really living up to it's name, it popped out of the ground on day 2 and started growing like crazy, it has slowed down a bit but as you can see the stalk grew too long and the angle doesn't show very well in the picture but it is almost at an horizontal angle almost touching the edge of the flower pot.

It is still a baby so I don't know if it needs support or not.

Whats your medium there? You could just bury the stem if you want, it will turn to root and not need support.

Looks like a coco mix. You could support or bury. I would support personally, but height isn't really a problem for me. Plus I lollipop anyway.

I agree if youre in coco support, if soil id say bury.

And does it need support at all? I mean, what if I leave it like that? Would that be bad for it?

Most likely its lean will increase. Support it very loosely so it can move freely yet not fall over and put a fan on it to strengthen.

It is growing in soil with coco, so is it okay if I bury it?

OK transplant is done. I noticed that a very thin yet long string of root was accidentally cut off, I didn't even see it because it seems it extended beyond underneath the jiffy pellet and was almost as thin as hair, will this have major repercussions on the plant's health?

I've been lowering the lights slowly in order not to shock them but I honestly don't know how much light baby plants can handle.

This is a 300 watt Mars Hydro LED and it's 40" above the plants, how close should I move it?

1. Use the advice of your fixture manufacturer for distance to the light for seedlings, vegetative plants, and flowering plants - each distance could be different. I'm guessing it's more like 24-30" distance for your seedlings.

2. That fixture is probably enough to flower a 3 sq. ft. area but not much more. Based on other feedback on this site you'll see that you will have heat issues as well with it. Just a head's up... for the veg phase I'm sure it's more than good enough.

3. Sativas naturally stretch more than indicas. That strain, per the FastBuds website, is mostly sativa, so much of the stretch is to be expected... however, a good bit of it is also probably due to insufficient lighting. I'm guessing that moving them closer will do the trick.

4. I take the following approach to supporting seedlings, on those occasions I need to (e.g. growing landrace sativas): I cut down plastic straws to size, cut a slit in the side, bend them open and slip them around the stem (taking care not to damage the stem in the process). When transplanting, I bury the stem along with the straw into the new pot, leaving the top of the straw out of the soil so it can be removed later (which I do around the time the stem has thickened to more or less fill the straw).
