when place seedlings under the light

hey everyone,
just germinated a holy grail kush and sleestack seed. I am really looking forward to the grow. However, I did have one concern in mind. They have now surfaced out of the soil for the first time, and are standing slightly up. I have them sitting next to the window, but my question now is when can/should I place them under the light? I've got an 87W LED light.

Anytime they germ and sprout just fine under light contrary to what a lot of people will tell you. The problem is when you set a tender little shoot under a hot light you can cook em. But yours doesn't really put out heat so show em some photon love. As I side note everyone I've known that has used led for past veg stage has wished they had an hps. That's just me and shits getting better all the time

Good Led's veg great, if you're looking for more stretch, than go with hps.

Is that a 'real' 87W or the incandescent equivalent wattage?
If it's a true 87W you have more than enough to veg with, and the idea of starting ~80cm away isn't bad. You should carefully watch for signs of too much stretch, though, and bring them closer if you see it. Since you don't really need to worry much about heat issues with the LEDs, the main issue is the possibility of bleaching of the leaves due to too much light, and bringing the lights closer slowly not quickly is important.

Are you planning on switching over to something bigger (lighting ) once your ladies get bigger, if so you have anything in mind yet?

not at this moment no, my current light replaces 250W HPS so I think it should be enough. Although I am a little sure on how long to leave them vegetating, I was thinking 1-2 weeks and then switching the bloom switch on.

I HAVE NEVER grew a plant indoores in my life.but I would say now.
