All COB Users - Lettuce Grow Challenge!!

This is disheartening, tbh. I was hoping to get a light built for a box of herbs and greens using the citizen 1212 driven really soft. It's theoretically simple to get even spread and it should need only modest amounts of power. My goal is to get a box for herbs/greens and a tent for peppers and...

New Loft Grow Room - Input Appreciated

Totally impressed with your grow and how systematic you are I've tried to research water cooling cobs before, but came up with little else than a YouTube video of a single cob on a water block and lots of negativity to the idea. Thank you for proving the concept and reminding me that I'm nowhere...

Wiring drivers in parallel on the AC side?

I'll be running cheap timers until I can prioritise fancy timers lol. But I will use the timer to control a relay I used for flip flopping 600w hps back in the day. Really just hoped to save myself some work.

Wiring drivers in parallel on the AC side?

Thanks, that's really good info. Do you know if I'll get a problem by using a regular timer? Those specialty timers cost a lot of money, three times+ what you guys get them for.

Wiring drivers in parallel on the AC side?

Actually bought a lot of boxes, was planning on putting all the connections in them. I'll be running remote drivers so box for ac, another for pots and I'm planning on putting one on each bar to make it look cleaner. When I researched the wagos I came across a box made specifically to keep wagos...

Wiring drivers in parallel on the AC side?

I should have known it was there I got the idea. Can you guys believe that someone in the western world don't have fast enough internet access to watch YouTube? Lucky I know people who do, so tomorrow. Thank you for the link, that video got swamped in all the information.

Wiring drivers in parallel on the AC side?

Okay, so I know how to choose a driver. I know how to wire pretty much everything on my first diy cob light. The driver is pretty self-explanatory, and you'd have to be not paying attention to mess that up. Not to say I won't, but you know. Trying to use what I've hopefully learned, I have an...

Sourcing an LED Driver in the UK?

You don't happen to know what it's used for? Is it something that you use on cars or, well, anything? Trying to find out who might have it. Planning on mounting tomorrow so eBay is a no go. I know they have some sort of alcohol thingie that they clean cuts and bruises with. I read something...

Sourcing an LED Driver in the UK?

Crazy how good some larf looks when you're a stupid bastard that let it all disappear before even getting some new beans. Granted, I had to get the money to go get said beans first. Weed or money, money or weed. Why can't I have both? Just had to buy some hash, and that crap is getting old. I...

Sourcing an LED Driver in the UK?

Just what I did lol. Tme.eu has them for like US$50 and £5.70ish flat shipping up to 5kilos. Don't know exactly which is cheaper, but I feel there's too hard to source stuff in Europe and TME seems to be a useful source for plenty of necessities. They actually have some heatsinks I'm trying to...

Introducing CobKits.com - specializing in DIY and Citizen COBs

Okay, so I have a veg light project under consideration and it seems to me that citizen is competitive at a way lower capital cost. I noticed the 1212 chart that it is measured@1050mA. How does driving it softer (350/500mA) affect the numbers? I'm thinking the 1212 is a cost effective way to get...

Cutter Electronics: Complete DIY COB kits

I read £3000 and had to go reread your post lol. I'm about £1k into this lol. Jesus, I could have a pretty nice holiday for that and what I'm throwing after the veg light that's next.

Cutter Electronics: Complete DIY COB kits

Don't know exactly what your questions are, but this explained it to me: https://www.rollitup.org/t/meanwell-led-drivers-3-in-1-dimming-function.838760/ Going to try it tomorrow myself.

Cutter Electronics: Complete DIY COB kits

@welight Just got my package, that was pretty quick. I originally reacted to the Au$50 handling fee, thinking it could keep a man working for a day. Seems like it did. Absolutely awesome. And where I messed up and ordered the M3.5 12mm screws, they fixed it all by themselves to M4 10mm. I'm...

MeanWell LED Drivers: 3 in 1 Dimming Function.

Just to make sure on the ac side: I can connect one in wire from 3 drivers on one wago, + one power wire, do the same on the other, and the grounds? For a total of 3 wagos, and same wires to same wago. Most timers (here at least) are rated 3600w, so 600w should be a breeze. Unless it's...

Cutter Electronics: Complete DIY COB kits

@Growmau5 @welight Come Monday morning and I had an epiphany about what those angled profiles were used for, and thus knew were to look. Now I have the choice between 20mmx20mm, 30x30, or, less ideally, 37x37. The two smallest come in 200cm lengths, the largest in 133cm. They all seem pretty...

MeanWell LED Drivers: 3 in 1 Dimming Function.

Great heaps of information, a lot of just the information I needed. Never thought I'd understand pots when I started, but now I'm confident it's only a matter of time Just for certainty: A) one driver @100k ohm the dim circuit will see no current and thereby running the driver at 100%. The...

Cutter Electronics: Complete DIY COB kits

I tried to save a buck by picking the parts instead of the kits. Could be a lesson for other cheap bastards out there, lol. Got the electricity sorted for now thanks to some beautiful people. Now it's just teenage angst and a way too long weekend.

Cutter Electronics: Complete DIY COB kits

With the 140mm heatsinks and cxb3590s running at 1400mA, can I get away with mounting some far reds for that Emerson effect? It's on for just a little while. Hell, maybe even some uv if that exists. It's rated for 100w, so my layman's logic tells me it should work but... The reflectors might get...
