    DIY with Quantum Boards

Has anyone considered inlaying the boards with hs into the roof of a grow box? So the fins are outside of the box and lose heat to the room instead. Would the relatively still air be able to shed the heat? Thinking about two boards @75w in a 2x4 veg/herb box.

Changing light on/off times in flower

I'm almost four weeks into 12/12 and stuff is going great. Lights are on from noon till midnight, which is proving less than ideal for me. I would love to switch to lights on at 2200/2300hrs. I'm thinking about just keeping it dark for 23/22 hours and then rolling with the new times. I've done...

What's the catch on the cxm22? I'm planning an extension of my cxb3590s in a while, can this chip really compete? cxm22 @1050mA should fill drivers just like 36v cxb3590 @1400mA, is that correct? Does the cxm22 only come in 3000K? Cheers.

Will a MeanWell B series driver work without a dimmer?

Yes. Just make sure the two wires don't close the circuit. That tape I can't remember the name of is sweet. Electrical tape? I'm so broke I used individual wagos since I at the time couldn't afford tape lol. It looks so good I forgot about it, now I have to go shopping...

    Budmaster lights

@modeler fwiw, diy cobs with pin fin heatsinks are just fantastic. The spread is awesome and you can design them to fit any space, and if you want to you can redesign them later. I know nothing about the finished light you're thinking about, but they have to be just glorious to beat cobs. If you...

Will a MeanWell B series driver work without a dimmer?

There's no problem with using that, just insulate the leads. Great option to have for later, at least that's how I see it.

    Pre Drilled Heatsink for boards

Is there a benefit from series or parallel wiring on these? Is the difference between optics and no optics quantified?

    Peppers suitable for indoor growing

Hi and thanks for your reply. I've read your basil thread several times, interesting. I'd grow maybe one or two plants a time, reseed every couple of months to have unbolted. I'll probably start with coco and maybe go full hydro eventually. I'm more concerned about how to grow woodier plants...

    Peppers suitable for indoor growing

I have this dream (pipe dream?) of growing some peppers when my ladies are done. so I have to order some seeds soon. I could use some advice on which cultivar to choose. I imagine doing a lot of sculpting on the poor things to keep in my footprint, but I suppose compact growth is a good...

    DIY with Quantum Boards

@Stephenj37826 these boards look amazing. Do you know if anyone has grown herbs and other normie plants with them? I'm looking at building me a little garden on a spare kitchen bench, about 2ft deep, 4ft wide and 3 ft tall. for all kind of plants, and seedlings waiting to go into the other...

one light one plant one pound....

Yes. check out growmau5, but there's a lot of good info on this out there. before you know it you'll be fluent in cob. I've got eight up now, gonna add four more as soon as I get around to it. The plants love it, I've never seen so nice looking babies irl before. perhaps mostly due to temps...

one light one plant one pound....

Sorry for butting in, and I'm so stoned my reading comprehension might be off. but if you're wondering about wiring cobs, that's as easy as can be. I'm not an expert diy guy, but that was no problem at all. I've never seen so nice plants before either. I would never buy those finished lights...

I grow inside, naturally since I'm 2/3rds to the north pole. actually a little bit more lol. my KKs grow beautifully under my cxb3590s, bushy as hell with a little training. one week into flower now, my only problem is the wait. They started life at my buddy's and were yellow from neglect. one...
