Top-feed Recirculating - with rezervoir at plant level using water level float valves?

Yeah, that is what concerns me. To get it so that there is not a lot of standing water in the bucket I would have to have the float very low, but then it would kick in early and shut off soon after, and my concern is that it won't shut off and start sucking air and burn out. Or just keep turning...

Top-feed Recirculating - with rezervoir at plant level using water level float valves?

I'm trying to setup a top-feed system that uses a rez that is not lower than the plants. Some flood and drain systems like Greentree do this by using a container (bucket) and small float valves (water level valves), that then pump the water back to the rez. The plant buckets are connected via...

    Optimum Spectrum for Veg?

Definitely don't water longer internode. Looking for bushy and shorter internodes. That's why I'm going with 4000k. But wondering if UV helps in veg any?

    Optimum Spectrum for Veg?

I've been reading up on the effects of spectrum on Marijuana plant growth. Much of what I'm researching pertains to Flower cycle only, like the Emerson Effect, End-of-Day, and UV for increased trichome production. But I need to replace a couple veg lights so I am looking at strips for that...

Anyone with AC running dehum during lights on?

Are you running CO2 in flower lights on? If so your temps should be higher, like 29 to 30 C, and therefore you VPD required a RH of 70%.

Reservoir - how cold is too cold?

I figured you hydro guys (DWC) would know about water temps as it is so critical for you. I know lower temps have higher O2, like 68 is ideal I believe. But if you get much lower like in the high 50s will that cause stress to the plant?

Leaves are curling down. Can't be overwater, could be underwater?

Definitely over nuted. They were not overwaterd, but since the plant stopped drinking because the nutes were too much the root zone stayed too wet. Roots were a bit brown but not slimy, I don't think rot has set is yet. Should I give them a flush with plain ph'd water? I heard in some context...

What are the best diodes on the market right now? Anything on the horizon?

Do you know who sells the cree 2835 HE strips and Nichia Optisolis strips? Thanks.

What are the best diodes on the market right now? Anything on the horizon?

I'm not sure what you mean by "right out of the box" but the cree looks very similar to the thrive: https://www.bridgelux.com/sites/default/files/resource_media/DS133%20Bridgelux%20EB%20Series%20Thrive%20Data%20Sheet%20081320%20Rev%20A.pdf

What are the best diodes on the market right now? Anything on the horizon?

Lol, no problem, I wouldn't buy more than 20 myself. But, I'm wondering about the difference between the EB gen 3 thrive and the vesta thrive. What does tunable mean? They are both CRI98, so should have the same spectrum, but the EB's are about half the price, and they are only about 30% less...

What are the best diodes on the market right now? Anything on the horizon?

And I assume it is not so easy to attach these to a PCB? Do you know if they make strips, and where I could find them?

What are the best diodes on the market right now? Anything on the horizon?

I'm looking at building a veg strip light that will cover a 4x4 area. Here are the options I'm aware of, if anyone has advice on other options please let me know. Bridgelux EB Gen3 Thrive - more expensive and less efficient than Reg Gen3 but fuller light spectrum - CRI 98. Bridgelux EB Gen3...

    Looking for better top-feed hardware/system.

I'm doing top-feed coco in 1 gallon pots. I find the 1/2 inch tubing to be a bit big to make a ring out of for my pots. But the 1/4 tubing gets clogged too easily. And the emitters don't give an even distribution to the whole plant roots. Anybody have a top-feed system that really works well...

What is the most important thing you do in your garden to increase yields?

Do you cut back the very lowest branches in veg, or do you let them grow?

Leaves are curling down. Can't be overwater, could be underwater?

There is air movement, but not wind burn, lol. 5.8 for coco is def not too low. I'm surprised that people are saying too high ppm, but that is the only thing it could be at this point. I have a friend doing coco in smart pots flood and drain and he does 1400 ppm with Cutting Edge nutes right...

What is the most important thing you do in your garden to increase yields?

I'm realizing how important it is to economies the canopy, meaning having an even and full canopy so that no light is wasted. To that end training and pruning to get the plant to grow sideways and even at the top. I'm still trying to figure out how to do this starting in veg. What kind of...

Bridgelux EB Gen 3 High Output 4ft Strips

Not according to the EB chart. Look at fig.4, as the voltage increases @25c lumens per watt stays the same.

    Which diode is better

OK. I wonder why the efficiency is so much lower. Maybe their stated efficiency for the bare diode is potential or something?
