Could my lights be causing this?

I'm also getting the red stem issue. Is this not light related?

Thanks. I'm impressed that your price with shipping is cheaper that Digi-key.

    At Wits' End.

I cannot figure out what is causing this poor growth and leaf symptoms. System - top-feed course coco. Pot size - 2.5 quarts Nutes - Jack's hydroponics PPM/EC - 750/1.5 PH - 6.0 Water temp - 64f Room temp - 80f RH - 65% I started my feeding from rooted clones with a 6 oz of nutes every 4...

Could my lights be causing this?

I'm at my wits' end. Trying to figure out what could be causing the plant problems I am having in veg. The only things that are different really is the medium (course coco core) and the lights - EB Gen3 4k CRI90. Here are my details: - Nutes = Jack's hydroponics - EC = 1.5 - PH = 6.0 - water...

Samsung H series strips, Arrow seems to be blowing them out! what a deal!

Hey man, if you love the strips so much I'm happy for you. No need to get bent out of shape because somebody points out a limitation. And by opinions do you mean like this:

Aussie High Lights – we're official

I did not see any strips available under "DIY-Grow Lights and Strips", did I miss something, or are you planning on selling strips in the future?

Bridgelux EB Gen 3 High Output 4ft Strips

I don't see how 2835 0.5w 3v D could be the HO. It's efficiency is better than the Gen 3, yet in the datasheets for these two products the HO is slightly less efficient.

Bridgelux EB Gen 3 High Output 4ft Strips

That's what I'm wondering, maybe it is just cheap marketing on their part. A digi-key engineer said it is possible that they are completely different diodes. But that seems unlikely to me if you are saying they are the same size as the regular Gen 3. He also said that maybe the PCB has "Heavier...

Nice, thinking about getting those too. Did you do 4k or 5k?

    Optimum Spectrum for Veg?

My story is a sad one. It turns out that my problem was Russet mites and not lights or nutes, etc. I destroyed all my plants and nuked the room because I don't want to have to fight with those nasty f***ers. My sense is my lights are fine, after raising them a little my plants were praying up to...

    Anyone find mites in coco?

Good point. I hadn't thought of that. Yeah gnats lay eggs in soil or coco so it makes sense they often come with.

Bridgelux EB Gen 3 High Output 4ft Strips

So, are you running the High Output SourDeezz? I've been going back and forth with Digi-key engineers about how these strips could be run at 1400 if they are the same actual emitters as the regular Gen 3. Do you happen to know if the size of the emitters are the same on the HO as regular Gen 3?

Samsung H series strips, Arrow seems to be blowing them out! what a deal!

According to this calculator even if you ran this at minimum current .138A @ 25C you will still only get 193 lm/w, which is at only 535 lm. You would need to run 5 of these to match the lumens of one modern strip. Even at their low price these are not viable compared to say a Bridelux EB gen2...

Does anyone have a source for the spectrum graph for these strips?

Bridgelux EB Gen 3 High Output 4ft Strips

Are you planning on doing any heat testing? I still don't understand how they rate these as 1400mA nominal current without requiring heatsinking. Do you happen to know the answer to that?

Getting Bridgelux EB Gen 3 strips today. Wiring question

That is pretty high current, you will need heat sinks or your efficiency and lux will drop. The nice this about the Gen 3 is that Bridelux states you do not need heat sinks if you run them at the nominal current of 700mA. The strips are relatively cheap so it makes more sense to use more strips...

    Anyone find mites in coco?

Concerned I might have got Russet mites in my coco, but it seems unlikely. I'm using a compressed block coco that has been pre-washed. Wondering how common it is for people to find nasty bugs in their coco? Would this come from the factory, or the store that keeps their coco near their soil...

    Optimum Spectrum for Veg?

Good info. Wondering now how to determine the percent of blue going by just the graph. For example, looking at the 40G how can I calculate what percent blue this has?

    Optimum Spectrum for Veg?

This is just my observation but with my higher blue led lights the stalks or stems are thicker and stronger, harder. I grew out some seeds a while back and put them under a almost entirely red light and they grew well and healthy but the stems were rubbery and wobbly, like the plant would bend...
