1000w light bulbs with 2 prongs at each end - what are these?

If it is more heat then why are these expensive hoods without air cooling?

1000w light bulbs with 2 prongs at each end - what are these?

Yeah, that is what they are, just googled it. She has the Sun System Agrotech Magnum Double Ended Reflector and the Lumatek digital ballast. She is selling the ballast, hood, and bulb for $200. Is it worth it? The only downside is the bulb is almost a year old.

1000w light bulbs with 2 prongs at each end - what are these?

This woman I know (experienced indoor grower) is selling her equipment, she has this light system for her flower room that she claims cost her like $500 each. It has a special hood with no exhaust ducting (she said it does not get that hot) and uses a 1000 watt bulb that has 2 prongs at each end...

healthy clones transplanted - day 3 starting to wilt - too much nutes?

I went ahead and transplanted today into very light soil, mostly salamander with a little bit of potting soil. Surprisingly even the plants with burn and drooping leaves had good root development for only being 4 days in, long white roots to the bottom of the pot. And the soil was very moist...

healthy clones transplanted - day 3 starting to wilt - too much nutes?

That may be a good rule of thumb but in this case the plants are definitely nute burned, I'm convinced of that now as the leaves are showing classic signs of nute burn, like brown burnt edges, curled tips, brittle leaves (sorry for no pics), and yet they are also drooping over.

soil way to hot for new clones - how can I correct this?

I would delete my earlier post about why my newly transplanted clones are wilted if I could. It is clear to me the reason is that the soil is way too hot, recipe 420 is hot already but then I added a good dose of bat guano. If I just let them go will they get worse or better? Should I...

healthy clones transplanted - day 3 starting to wilt - too much nutes?

Bought some super healthy big clones from a nursery, never seen clones this healthy with many white roots. I transplanted them in 4.5 inch plastic pots with 1/2 recipe 420 1/2 salamander soil (coir and perlite) and about 10% bat guano. I packed the soil kind of tight and put down mykos...

Over-watered - what's the quickest/best way to correct this issue

My plants are in veg and in a state of being overwaterd for the past few weeks. How the problem arose was from transplanting them from 1 gallon pots with Happy Frog and a bit of coco coir (really strong healthy root system) to 3 gallon pots with straight Recipe 420, I even packed the soil down a...

    SourPatchSeeds USA

Interested in buying from this bank but I have a question and the site has no contact information, not even an email address. The Twitter and Facebook links refer to a site called volusion.com, pretty bizarre. Anyway, I need some seeds asap, this is priority for me. But my real priority, and...

Yellow leaves at the top during veg - have pictures

I read the stickies on nute deficiency and diagnosing but my issue does not quite fit into the nute deficiency patterns that I've been reading about. The leaves are yellowing at the top not bottom and curling in the middle. details: - 6 weeks in veg in 3 gallon pots under 600w mh lights. -...

ready to transplant seedling to 4" pots - what medium and nutes?

about 15% of my seeds did not germinate - what can I do?

The seeds are all viable strains, Bodhi, Karma, Dynasty, Sannies, GGG. Interestingly I got 4 of Sannies Killing Feilds and none of them popped. GGG's Crimson Crush only 6 out of ten popped, and Karma's White OG V2 7 out of 10. I'm going to talk to Sannie about the KF's as they are not right, I...

ready to transplant seedling to 4" pots - what medium and nutes?

Seedlings have been growing for about a week in rapid rooter plugs. I'm ready to transplant them in 4 inch square pots but not sure if I should use a soil (like ocean forest) or soiless medium. If soiless I would think I should add some diluted nutes. But if soil no nutes. My concern is I...

about 15% of my seeds did not germinate - what can I do?

It has been 6 days of germination, about 85% have sprouted, most by the third day. I'm germinating in Rapid Rooters, and the ones that have not germinated I've open the rooters to see inside and the seeds have not even cracked open yet. Should I take them out and soak them in water? Or is there...

    Using a grow tent outside?

I want to do a little outdoor grow. I have the outdoor space but no indoor space for the starts. It is cold where I live up until June so I need an indoor space to start the veg, until I can put them outside in June. I had the idea of using a grow tent but inside a regular tent, as I know the...

Will 93 degrees kill my germinating seeds?

So, I've read mixed information on this, but what is the optimum temperature for germination?

Will 93 degrees kill my germinating seeds?

I started seeds with temp at 80 degrees, came back 8 hours later and temp dipped to 73, so I turned the heat up. Came back 8 hours later and temp was 93. Damn walmart heater sucks, thermostat does not work properly. Do you think I killed my seeds? This is my first germinating experience. I...
