I've been using scotts too for the last few grows as well and found it great for use early in veg. 0.07 doesnt sound like much nitrogen content but it's been perfect for me thus far up until the 4-5wk. point, where the N is stll there, but the P and K are ready for a boost, works out pretty well...

Hmmm.... any idea on the lumen output on the 250? They do got the bigg 300watt 2700k cfl's at home depot.... about 4,000lumens each....

I actually built the same thing like 2 nights ago! I actually had all the parts already. For now it's only a 2 site cloner with plenty of room for 6-8 new site additions if needed. I'm off to clean up the res and lid with dilluted clorox solution, fill er up, and take a couple cuttings and see...

I kinda thought the same thiong at first.... but when u compare what it costs to run enough cfl's to equal, say a 400w. HPS, it's about the same. I had a sweet 400 watter from htg for the last couple grows, air-cooled hood, digital remote ballast, sweet. it ran me and a buddy about $200 or...

.... if u got a little bit of $ for lighting, a switchable HPS setup like snyder was sayin, would eliminate the need for the cfls and the fluros altogether, then ur left with heat to control. Sometimes it comes down to money, sometimes it comes down to how 'in-to' the grow u wanna get.

I'd probly get more cfl's PLUS the other fluro. with the cfl's u can move which light u want to where it's needed pretty easy so they got an advantage there if it's between one or the other imo. The more light the merrier, especially during flowering. The mylar willl do just as u said, help get...
