    DiY LED - Cree CXA3070

Well...It took a long while, but 35 cxa3070's are running @1500mA (forgot the exact amps) with active cooling and have 5 cobs left. Each string has 315 watts without the fans. Every fan has its own power source of 12 volts, and the fans together it makes a hell of a noice. Going to remove the...

    730NM good or bad?

Well.... read the thread with a glass of moonshine...I don't get it. There are some people who say that it works, some say it don't work. So who is going to test it out with a dual test like greengenes707 did with a led and hps test. The fastest string can flower in 6 weeks (so I heard), so who...

They wanted to do everyting for me. But the materials they are using are poor and construction was also very poor. There are millions...

800 watt bridgelux outdoor floodlights grow

Hi, you can take a microscope to check the dies out. Bridgelux or cree has its own structure. Problem with the chinese leds (with bridgelux dies) is that the chinese ledcompanies can't or won't exactly construct the led per light colour (3000K/4000K/5000K/etc). Last year I was selling these...

DiY LEDs - How to Power Them

They will work just fine with the 3070, hardcapped on 40v according to supra who tested them. I am going to use them in stead of meanwell wich is more expensive and offers less quality for each euro.

    DiY LED - Cree CXA3070

I don't get it. -edit- I get it. You want to max it? Thanks for the calculations, its clear to me now. 40 leds equals 4 600w HPS. But for the electrical bill...300 watts savings is not much and the fans need to be driven also. So maybe 200 watt savings, that is not much. But the profit must...

    DiY LED - Cree CXA3070

LOL...but no boss here. Just being stupid and starting difficult as it is my first try on everything. I like new stuff. Thanks for the calculations SDS. I wanted to use at first only 40 pcs @1400ma. Is that equal to 2.38K hps? Do you mean that it is equal to 2.38x 1000 watts HPS?

Apache AT600 led vs 1000w HPS Blue Dream Grow

Thanks for the reply Supra. You are both better growers than me because I am just starting. But I am wondering what would be the maximum yield possible with led and AT600. Next week there is a Greentech meeting in Amsterdam regarding horticultural technology. There are some professionals on HPS...

Apache AT600 led vs 1000w HPS Blue Dream Grow

Hi Greengenes. I liked your thread and the results, it inspired me a lot. You stated it above...You are a 1.5 ish per light guy... I was wondering... Some people reach with the hps 1.0 grams/watt. You reached 0.66, that means that a very good grower has results 50% above yours with hps (no...
