Seeking advice on grow room design

i pull a pound and a half with 1000 watt (600+400) in a 4x4 space with 6 plants. you could do 8 plants under the 1000 and pull well over a pound. much easier than 50 plants.

Seeking advice on grow room design

that looks good, if it were me i would use 2x 600 lights to cover that space rather than the 1ooo, 8 foot is a long way for that light to reach, even with a light mover, everything else in your picture looks perfect, also with 2 x 600 lights you still only need that 1 inline(450cfm)

Whats the Diff Between the HPS and the Metal Hallide Lighting Systems

your talking about 9x600 lights, thats 1 600 for every 4x4 space, you could just make 2 boxes one 8x4 with 3 600, (for flower) and the other 4x4 with 1 600 mh for veg, do 9-10 plants vegged to 24 inches then into the flower side, should pull around 4 oz a plant!

    2 weeks between waterings? Really????

as above said, as they/roots grow you will have to water more and more, once theyve got a good root system you should need to water every 3 days on average, on a side note ive had runts like that, which ive nearly binned only for them to turn out the best of the lot.

    wall reflectors for light

yes if you must use foil then the dull side is better, how ever painting your walls flat white is alot better and reflects more than foil.

400w HPS to 600w HPS a good jump?

i was able to go from a 400 hps with out cooltube to a 600 with cooltube and my temps dropped a good 10 degrees, also the extra bud the 600 make is well worth the effort.

    So I'm new at the HPS/MH setup's

agree with this, with out some sort of cool shade your going to struggle with temps, by the time you allow a foot for the light and say another foot for the pot you've only got 2 foot for the plant, save your self a headache and buy a air cooled hood. the one thats linked above has everything...

    So I'm new at the HPS/MH setup's

yes use the mh bulb to veg your plants and the hps to flower. the mh will look more blue when on and is a different shape than the hps, hps is more orange when on.

    What size hood?

i would go for some sort of air cooled hood, for a tent, get the biggest you can afford, i use a 2foot by 2 foot one and it covers great.

    Question about 12/12 switch?

no reason, its just the way i was shown, theres really no need to to work your way down in half hour increments, just flick the timer to 12/12, job done.

    how do i maximize yield

what lights you using? either way the closer the lights to the plant will produce more bud! make sure you feed them properly and they will reward you, dont let the temps get to high,

    Question about 12/12 switch?

i just switch the timer to 12/12, by switching half hour each day you will be adding nearly 2 weeks till it in flower.

Need Advice on my Best Method of Ventilation.

one of those fans is enough to cool your lights, then have one more attached to your carbon filter, use a passive intake. so go duct from outside room>light>duct to fan>back out room, or place the fan outside of room and have it suck through both hoods then out of garage. because you are using...
