Question about 12/12 switch?

This is my 1st indoor grow, and I'm really enjoying it. I think my plants are beautiful. I have a FEM Pineapple Chunk, FEM Super Lemon Haze, and 2 Reg White Widows. I'm getting close to switching from 18/6 to 12/12, but I wasn't sure on the best way to do that. I originally thought that you could just switch the timer in the middle of a day to have the light go out after 12 hours and to just make sure that it was 12 hours of complete darkness. But I have heard people talking about slowly switching the darkness period by 30 minute increments from 18/6 until you get to 12/12. I can see where doing it in increments could be beneficial since it is mimicing mother nature, but I don't know for sure if it matters. How do you guys do your switch to 12/12?

I went straight into 12/12. Waited until the next water change and added bloom nutes. Just my 2 pennies. Good luck!

i would just switch them i have not seen any real differance to justify the extra work. try to keep things as simple as possible so if something goes wrong its easier to find the mistake.

i give 48 hrs darkness so sex shows faster continue feeding veg nutes for 2-3 weeks (depending on strain)

Is this true? How much faster will sex show? I need to check into this for sure.

i give 24 hours of complete darknesss between veg and flower, 18-6 and 12-12

...only if you bark like an orangutan while doing three full body spins in front of a mirror at 12am on the last Saturday of the month.

i just switch the timer to 12/12, by switching half hour each day you will be adding nearly 2 weeks till it in flower.

without it takes between 7 days to two weeks with it i see sex in as little as 3-5

no reason, its just the way i was shown, theres really no need to to work your way down in half hour increments, just flick the timer to 12/12, job done.
