    Problem or not

It looks very healthy, it seems to be saying, "give me all you got sun. I'm coming for you!" Lay off the ferts til it gets bigger.

    Metal Halide....

MH has much more UV than most other lamps. This is great for trichrome production. While your buds won't be as big or as dense as they would with HPS, they will be the stickiest of the icky(higher quality smoke).

    im pretty new at dis

True females don't produce seed without a male's pollen. Hermaphrodites do.

    Metal Halide....

Around 25-50 actual watts per square foot, seeing as they'll be used with MH.

    Noobie Question

You can line plastic containers with aluminum foil to keep the crystals from bonding with the porous plastic. Aluminum foil is not porous, and is highly resistant to fats/oils(lipids, like THC), unlike plastics.

    Metal Halide....

It's quite a difference. MH doesn't have strong red radiance. You could throw in some 2700k/Warm White CFLs to help boost yield and quality. But the HPS would probably be better.

    Cfl lights??

Incandescents 'work'... they just grow really shitty plants. T5's or T8's are the best fluoros to use, CFLs are also good, as they emit a lot of light in a much smaller space, so it can be much more intense than strip/tube fluoros(unless you have a 4x or 8x array of tubes, which could...

    Noobie Question

At least 3 weeks after drying. Grow FAQs: https://www.rollitup.org/view.php?pg=faq&cmd=article&id=152 Weed doesn't increase in potency with age. However, it'll undergo decarboxylation and convert non-psychoactive THC-acid into active THC; however, the same process occurs rapidly when it's...

Mylar might get distorted from the heat. It's also flammable. It's your choice.

    Fluorescent reflectors

I've seen a few people put regular aluminum foil over white fluoro reflectors and measuring the PPFD(PAR light meter). The aluminum foil was superior to the stock white coating(especially as the distance increases). Steel is not as good of a reflector as aluminum. However, steel can also be...

I need help picking out the right Light??

6500k/Daylight for veg. 13-25 actual watts per sq foot. 2700k/Warm White for flowering. 50-100 actual watts per sq foot for best results

    im pretty new at dis

Seeds are produced by female plants(flowers, specifically aka bud) when pollinated by male plant flowers which release pollen.

Had to Transplant my girl during flowering

I would of done the same thing(I've transplanted in flower numerous times). I rarely notice shock in most of my transplants. If they have a big healthy root ball it's a piece of cake. Water then after the transplant to get them soaked into their new home, and that's it.

About to start my first grow, looking for quick advice.

Aluminum foil reflects 97% of solar radiance(around 90% average of PAR). Reflective Mylar is highly reflective solely because of aluminum vacuum deposited onto it (polyester/PET fiber). Reflective Mylar will reflect light more intensely than foil due to a more specular and finer(microscopically...

Gonna have to shut it down for a couple hours...

No, and no. Artificial light is often used to supplement the sun itself! The sun is easily outclassed by high-end artificial light and CO2 enriched environments. There are many things we simulate, but others we 'throw away' because nature is not, by any means, perfect. We can improve on it...

    100% compost

Usually compost is turned into soil(and can burn seedlings used alone). So that's why you'll see it mixed with all assortments of soil make-up.
